Thought I'd start a thread since I'm starting to lurk this board far more often than the others now. Anyways, here's a current WIP I have for Zamochist's contest coming up. The Warrior is hand drawn, though I've put it through PS to add some light color overlays and lighting effects. Of course it's nothing final, but it was fun just messing around with it.

Thanks guys. I'll keep adding more WIP shots as it comes along. Hopefully I can get most of it done by this weekend. The Doppleganger's flaming head might take me a bit.

Playing around with the Doppleganger's head. Didn't much care for the original design's face, so I just went with a partial skull mixed with the magma rock design. And I'm glad the chaos axe doesn't have any detail - sure saves me a lot of time.

wooooow.

Are you an art major? Your pencil shading skills kick arse.

I might suggest making the outline of the Chaos Axe a little bit sharper, but otherwise I love how the doppel is turning out.

Sure am, though I've been drawing for as long as I can remember.

And I haven't really bothered with the chaos axe - just thought the effect looked cool

I love the slight 2D medieval stylization. Dunno why It reminds me of those old tapestries...
