Dutch Sunshine: looks really cool, though I agree with Morag; the font needs reconsideration I've no idea about fonts though, if I were you I'd check out www.dafont.com and try and find something I like there.
Tommy: your colouring has improved! I'm so looking forward to seeing everything comes together! I love how you made Tzu, if you dont mind I'm going to cut her out of the image at a later date for different uses (all credits go to you, of course).
As for me, weather predictions say it's gonna be around -20C nearly every day of next week. On top of that, government is having issues moving all the snow away from the streets (and the forests require "snowshoes" or skis to traverse. I'm afraid I'm going to have to cancel the outdoor photoshoot if, against all odds, I manage to finish my project. Goddamn.
Funny thing is, I've made good progress and I think, if I continue working hard, I shall be able to finish the costume (except the gloves, probably, takes ages making from scratch) in time for picture-taking on wednesday the 30th. Oh well, we'll see I suppose >.<''

TZu i hope you do finish you will probably win again tbh i love ur costumes they just work. my dam brother left the camera charger at his flat so i have no charge i may just use my 5mp but it doesnt have a shallow lense instead it focuses on the landscape which in my case is the freaking pillow case behind the models.
I cba to finish grenth so its just going to be dwayna and the snowman. u think that will be enough?

This is my 2008 entry, sadly it didnt make it, but I learned from it, and will have to do better this year around
And another update of my 2009 entry:
I always wondered where Mars(the snack, ya know? ;o) got it's front from

A little question regarding fonts, brushes, etc... as I am a bit confused. Sometimes pple who created those ask to be credited for (for example by posting a link to their site), would using those be ok for such thing as this wintersday contest, as, until you put a link on the picture itself, I don't see other ways to give credit? :S

Well, either use one where they don't ask for credit or provide the credit here at guru in this thread I suppose. They'd get more exposure here at guru in regards to the credit.

Oh, in case anyone was wondering about the snowflake on top of the tree:
It just reacts VERY well to LED flashlights.

*starts tossing snowballs around* Need more entries for the Best Wintersday Caption prizes. With the amount of sugar running through some people's bloodstreams there should be some *cough* interesting ideas out there.
Quote:
The Best Wintersday Caption prize is awarded whomever managed to screencap a scene, with or without their character, which best portrayed this Guild Wars holiday. To take an "in-game photograph", press Shift+PrtSc (print screen) and find the caption in the folder adress which then appears in your chat window.
No photomanipulation allowed, you may only crop your image to best frame your caption. To ensure that you've followed this rule, include information on where and when (and if applicable; how. If for example you've used a skill for a visual effect) your screencap was taken.

You might make a topic and ask for some volunteers as well, the community on GWGuru is pretty generous about such things if they know about it.

Thanks for the offer. I think I've come up with a work around so I don't need any volunteers. I'm hoping to put up a WIP tomorrow morning-ish

I thought the deadline for prose was the 23rd so I didn't send my lyrics.
Btw, The tree and decorations look awesome. Why aren't you in charge of merchandising at arenanet? I'd buy one of the Yakkingtons in a heartbeat.
Dutch That postcard is seriously cool. I think you've got the balance down pretty good now. I like how you've got it sitting on a table and the edges are a little frayed. Nice touch.
Tommy Very cute drawing. Only thing I notice is that the nose of the reindeer doesn't seem to be quite defined enough. I assume the nose is red and giving off light but I'm not certain. Does that make sense?
