@ Chyminy Riquet: That is really neat! I like that you made it into a tattered old book cover instead of just a poster.The image makes a lot more sense now.

Man, I wish I could draw like all of you. Looks great Airaquila. What monster is the "reindeer"?
Status update: finishing sketching all four screens.

Has a nice splash of undead appearance with the familiarity of a regular reindeer. Interesting touch.

@Chiminy: You can put the same letters behind in black and a few sizes bigger to make it stand more out. If that made any sense o.o;

As someone with no artistic talent but a lot of free time I felt it my duty to MSPaint something for this occasion. Here's a first pass (criticism is appreciated):

Summoning stone ornaments: Mischievous, Mystical, Frosty, and Arctic. Frosty is pearlescent, too bad it doesn't show well in pics.
Vowed to myself no more craft shopping until the new year, so I am making my own beads and cabochons for the naga.

@Eragon: aww, well they used too many cliche devices in the movie. But I did enjoy some of the effects and the dragon design. Haven't read the book but I suspect it didn't do it justice
@Airaquila: That is definitely a good way to solve the problem and I was considering it. But I was afraid of making the text too inconsistent across the cover design. So I darkened the area behind the light text and removed a few snow flakes as well from that spot.
@Bladewind: That is great! I saw the announcement. Thanks for doing that!
@Tzu: I'm finished with my piece. It is done as I can make it since family is here now for the holidays and time to stop being an artistic recluse. Do I post the final here or is there someplace else to place it?
Finished!:
