Oooops =D
I'm still thinking of a good topic.
Something with small human children having a snowball fight with small charr children. Well before the Searing and their time of conflict.
Opinions on my idea?

lol. stop trolling people and work some *cracks whip*
'cleaned up' my charr camp, as it was in sore need of attention. I'll probably stick to these sketchy lines and then paint under and over them as I go along

Looking great Morag. I agree that you should keep these sketchy lines, as it looks unique. Thought maybe the left under char needs some more attention as I don't understand where its looking at. But maybe that will come along with the colouring, shades could make it clear.

My motivation seems to have run away. If anyone sees it, please send it back.
Actually I think it's the mini moa chicks fault. The fabric I was using for the larger chicks legs/beaks isn't lending itself well to smaller versions and is frustrating me into inactivity. I cant find anything similarly colored that would be easier to work with. 3 stores and the only thing remotely the same color is broadcloth which just is not right for this.

Have you tried looking online for anything similar?
(even though that won't really let you see how the texture feels or anything like that...)
Broadcloth, yeah, ick. That's no good for something like this...I've only ever used felt or fleece for my plushies. What material did you use for the larger ones?

Kiya - http://www.voguefabricsstore.com/sto...log/index.html Check that site. The actual store itself is in downtown Chicago (it's about a half hour drive from my house), and it's like a freaking warehouse. I've a feeling that that's the best place to look for what you need, because the randomly rare things we've found there for really cheap is just ridiculous (and awesome).
Hell, it's close enough that I could drive over one weekend and check out/pick up stuff for you, if you needed it.

So I was thinking about making some wintersday ornaments out of fimo clay. Grenth, Dwayna, grentchies, freezie, and possibly some others. I'm not sure though, been a while since I played with fimo clay. Should be interesting to get back into it.

I has art bug
mood colours. I want them to be cold and hard, this is winter in the trenches of ascalon, nothing cosy about that...
oh yeah, and I decided it depicts a random group of soldiers led by Sergeant Brannen meeting a random group of charr. ordinary folk, really.
Kiya: hope you get out of your motivation block, it would be awesome to have you participate again! good luck with that fabric search
Princess: modelling is always fun! I'd love to see some deco stuff

I'm ignoring the moas and actually have gotten something done today. Yay! Complaining fixes everything! Well, at least some things. Ive gotten the lower body of the naga put together and am starting on the head, shoulders, and arms now. I might actually get this one done by late tonight if I didnt just jinx myself.
