Go team Tzu! Because you said so, I'll join, guess I'll have to go and boil some inspiration. To stimulate the inspiration of some others I'd like to donate for a price as following;
The coolest Grinch that stole wintersday!
As some say I'm channeling Dr. Seuss I thought that might have been fun. I'll donate 200k for it, would like it to be judge too <3 But all this only if Tzu aproves ofcourse

I might have already started <> Got a creative urge last night and one of the ideas I had plopped out of my head onto paper. *wipes brain juice off paper*
Looking forward to seeing what people come up with and might be able to sponsor a prize if I'm allowed to.

All sponsors are of course welcome!!! *paper-white business-smile*
But lemme update the first post with awards and categories first so you can pick which you want to donate to, or if you want to make your own! I'll be working more on that today. Since I have a cold, things are gonna be moving a little slowly >.<'
I decided to open this the moment I got a reply from Regina (which only took an hour or so, thanks Regina!!) so people won't feel pressed for time. I think we should allow ourselves plenty of time to think and plan, as well as to work with!

I'm just going to go ahead and name myself Queen Gingerbread Guardian
I will definitely donate a prize, though I'll hold off a bit in deciding exactly what the donation will be (as I'd like to be able to donate more than I did for Halloween). I do intend to donate towards the Wintersday Spirit award, though. Anything to make me smile around Christmas will be welcome indeed. I'll also hoard any party items I get between now and the end party to hand out to people then fireworks ftw.
I'll also happily help judge again
And of course I'm going to try and actually enter this time...can't make any promises, with school and work, but this time I'll have much more time to work on something ^_^

I'm the same. I'll be donating more when I've sold the mini, and know exactly how much I'll get for it. I'll donate as much as I can, without ruining certain other community plans I have... XD
I've updated first post, for those who haven't noticed yet, but I'm sooooo slow at making the Tzu /emote-icons, I might just make-do without some of them for a while, update whenever I finish one. Should've asked H00die, after all...! XD
Anyhows, I've set up a blog for my project, at www.dwayna.wordpress.com for anyone who's interested. I hope to make my first video as soon as I can talk again, until then there will be mostly pictures and text.
This year I reccomend that EVERY entrant sets up an archive of sorts. Photobucket, DeviantArt, ImageShack, Wordpress...... a place for you to store all progress pictures and put down notes/journals. This is for the sake of the Judges, both here in the Workshop AND for Arenanet and the official contest. It makes it much easier for them to root out fraud and identify hard work and restless effort if you can refer to an archive of progress.
Please, all serious entrants, set up something of the sorts a.s.a.p. You don't *have* to share it with the Workshop right away, if you're feeling a little sensitive about your ideas. Of course, it makes you a stronger competitor, if you can and will share ideas and progress all the way!

About the archive idea - I can help with that!
I have my own domain and webserver. I can set up a gallery for us to use. I'll set it up, and everyone can register and I'll create everyone their own subgallery/category to upload their progress images and everything. That way everything can be right in one place.

that's extremely useful, Verene!
1 thing though, as I have no clue how these things work, would you have to add all the progress images etc, or is there a way for each person to do it themselves? I'm only concerned about you taking on too much work, but if it's no big deal/we can manage it ourselves, then I think it's a splendid idea!

What I'll do, is when someone from here registers, I'll create them their own subcategory for their use, and set the permissions so that only they can upload to their category. So, only I can upload to my category, only Tzu to hers, only Blue to his, and so on.
That way, everyone can update their progress images on their own (so the only work for me is creating their categories - which takes no time at all), and they don't have to worry about anyone vandalizing their stuff. Which isn't likely to happen, but even so.
http://under-the-gun.org/wintersday/
There we go - people can go ahead and register. For simplicity's sake, please just use your username from here, or a character name, so I know who is who. I'll also see about finding skins to pretty it up with.

You know, I... kind of want to participate. My very, very, VERY limited ability to draw some things (not people, sadly) may emerge here if I can get over being shy :P This does seem like a safe enough environment for help and con crit. Whee. Now to hook up my scanner and find some paper...
