The Project

I currently just started working on a new project. The main theme is "the four seasons". I started this inspired by the beautiful lineart of Morag D, which is great work and should be finished! My plan is to make all the 4 seasons embodied by 4 Guild Wars characters: Spring will be me, Lucy Gwyneth, Summer will be Tzu, Winter will be Morag D and Autumn... Autumn is still missing!

The Auction

As said, Autumn is still missing a character to go with it. And that could be you! I will draw the person that comes best out of this auction. If you want to enter to this auction, you need to suffice a few demands. First of all your character needs to be female, I won't do any male models. Secondly your character needs to have long/semi long hair.

How the bidding goes

Bidding can be done in a combination of inspiration and gold. You can inspire me alot, but you can also make sure you are the missing person by offering money to it. I'm highly interested in people that are dedicated to their character. So if you got more to tell about your character I will be temped to pick you. However though, I'm only human, and you know what humans want.. Shiny blinky gold. So feel free to convince me whichever way you want. Further there is something I aprove above gold and that is an art trade, meaning that the person I choose to include makes me an art piece

The Style

If you are bidding on something you ofcourse want to make sure your monney (or inspiration

) gets well spend. First of all I would like to say that I'm going to put my heart in this project, as I really like the idea of it, and I will put alot of time into it. Besides that, the style will be between Art-Nouveau and modern. The keyword in this will be 'gradient'. Your character won't be dressed in her Guild Wars armor, but in a gracefull dress.

Lastly

The auction will end on friday the 20th of januari at 8pm GMT. For any more questions you can always send me a message here, as I won't be in game too often. Remember when you want to enter the auction not to forget to add a picture. There is no rule like first comers have more chance, so reserving spots aren't necessary. Lastly I would like to say that I hope you are interested and inspire me

@ Operative: That is about right, though you can also offer cash to it. But yeah I need at least a picture of your character to be inspired

Then additional information could inspire me more. I prefer to pick people who have a story to their character.
@ Hailfall: Long hair isn't a criteria to enter the auction, it's just highly prefered. Maybe I need to refrase that. But as your character bears a long story with it, it could inspire me more, that it overruns the fact that your character has short hair. In the picture I could just make her have long hair.

Name: Farai Savitri

She was born on Istan into a family of life-long Sunspears (her mother a Monk, her father a Warrior, and her older half-sister a Paragon), and it surprised no one when she kept up the tradition and went into training as a Sunspear herself, choosing to train as a Dervish. She quickly showed herself to be skilled with both a scythe and magic. The other Sunspear trainers noticed that she showed the signs of being someone who could take command, and also trained her in leadership abilities, though it wasn't something she hugely cared for. By the time she was 21, she had already risen to the rank of Commander, and was training new Sunspears herself.

She's traveled all over the world of Tyria, and came to the conclusion that she hates snow (the Shiverpeaks are far too cold for a native of Istan, she says, though that armor the Norn make almost makes it tolerable), though she loved the Kurzick areas of Cantha, allying with the Kurzicks while there. While traveling through Elona to stop Varesh, she fell in love with Vabbi and decided to settle there after everything was done with (assuming that they would win and she would survive it, of course).

Farai is more than capable of leading, but she doesn't prefer it, feeling more comfortable running into the middle of a fight herself. She is a devoted follower of the old gods, and in particular worships Lyssa and Dwayna. She is a fairly serious person, not given much to joking around; she'd rather get straight to the point and get things done with. She's also very stubborn, and doesn't like giving up on things that she's started, even if it kills her in the process (and sometimes it has. Thank the gods for monks). She's also very short, and likes to use this to her advantage - not many people will find someone who barely comes up to their shoulders as much of a threat, though she'll happily prove them wrong.

I can't offer up much in the way of money, but I can do an art trade of sorts - the chibi I did of Lucy you don't need to pay me for, and I'll finish the portrait free of charge also.

Forever Autumn

Autumn, oh that special season, Shala would not count per winters as normal people do but by Autumns. Because it was special to her, the leaves would fall from the trees, it would start to get colder but not nearly cold enough for winter to approach. But that was not the real reason. Two years ago the person she loved was taken away from her, never to be seen again.

Apologies in advance for the lengthy profile. THis character has been RP'ed for the last six years and a lot of components in her story have already deviated from the general GW lore lol. I'll try to keep it short though

First of all, why her? It so happened that my mesmer was based from a different story that me and my sisters have created a long time ago and she represented the season of Autumn in that story

Appearance:
Long, raven-haired beauty (with red-brown undertones) whose eyes as green as a tranquil forest and lips so red as if drenched in blood. Her skin fair and almost milky white.

Quirks:
If you're lost, don't ask her for directions. She'd probably get lost with you. She also seems to take into a liking of being a matchmaker as what she did with some of her friends

Yet if you try to pair her up with someone, expect her to run away at that instant.

Weapons & Items:
While practicing her mesmer abilities, Mina used staves and wands but as time went by, she opted for a more up-close and personal weapons such as daggers and swords.

Personality:
Mina is a mysterious mix of being approachable and at the same time distant. There are conversations which she would be very open but much of her deep thoughts and feelings she would keep to herself. But if you're in her good side, she would do her earnest to protect you even if it would cause her harm.

Brief Biography
Mina was a talented mesmer who grew up from a wealthy family in Orr and was engaged to an equally wealthy man. They parted ways temporarily so that her fiance could study in Ascalon Academy. Months passed and Mina had not heard of him. Worried for his safety, she travelled to Ascalon to find him only to discovered that he had moved on with another woman. Around this time, the Cataclysm of Orr happened and Mina's family got killed. Devastated, she retreated herself into the Catacombs and discovered Grenth. (She's a Me/N)

She survived the Searing and after two years of hiding, finally vowed to capture the Scepter of Orr. She travelled to the Northern Wall and met Dani Dancowen (monk) and Ran Gavinmaur (ranger). The three had become friends since then and been together for several adventures.

ok for a little character bio ::

born in tyria, Spoon Legs has always had a love for home. she decided that the best way to help her nation would be to learn the art of healing - to become a monk and earn the chance to wear the tattoos that healers paint on themselves to represent their devotion to Dwayna. as a child, Spoon always had trouble taking things seriously. she preferred to goof around, often leading her into trouble when she didn’t fully focus on her studies. that goofiness is still with her today, although she has become more disciplined.
when Spoon was done with her studies, she received the sacred tattoos that acknowledge her as a devote worshiper of Dwayna. thanks to a wanderlust acquired as a child, she travels tyria, using the gifts that Dwayna bestows upon her when she asks the goddess for the strength to heal. although she visits cantha and elona, she knows that she must first help tyria before helping other countries.

hunting charr does not work well in Grothmar Wardowns. as it is forever the season of autumn there, along come the many distractions that are with the season. when on a hunt with a group, attempting to stalk a charr, the many footsteps of Spoon and the others crunching the multicolored leaves below serve as a warning to the charr to run quickly away. however, with no charr to hunt, it was necessary to build protection against one (in the form of a leaf pile of course!). gathering the many deep red and orange leaves Spoon and her team members quickly built a giant leaf pile, thinking that they would not be seen from within the leaf pile, although a giant leaf pile wouldn't look suspicious at all

. after jumping in, the team and Spoon stayed hidden among the leaves, throwing leaf "balls" at other members and inhaling the pleasurable musty scent, until the pile became too flat to properly serve for cover anymore. after becoming flat, the pile was made ready again for the team to jump into. to an observer, the scene might have looked as though Spoon's team was just enjoying the thrills of autumn, but of course it was all protection from the evil charr (which no sign was ever given of it returning) from which they had been hunting at the beginning of the day ;P.

time for a little bribe i guess >

I came to a discission and I must say it was very tough, I really feel sorry to disappoint others, but I guess thats part of such an auction, next time I do one with only one way of bidding, makes things alot easier. Maybe when I get to it, I will do some more of this sort, to the ones that didn't make it here.

Anyway... the winner is... Hailfall!

My motivation to that is, that I think she was the one that wanted to be in there the most. I know Hailfall a bit, and most definatly sure she is the very dedicated to her character (I know you others are too

) Also I think her character looks very nice in Autumn (thats where she rivaled Ravenhawk, which looks very autumny aswell :P) And ofcourse her offer honoured me very well, only once in game I had such money. It's more of an honor then a use, as I hardly play anymore, but that leaves me to buy more commissions
