We all need a pinch of money, and after SF nerf [holy that was a long time ago] I just haven't found the motivation to do any more in-game farming, so... hey.

I mostly do scifi stuff and my previous work can be seen here at [Tabnir @ DeviantArt]. Of course, this is GW, so I just painted an example here as a demo: [Lovely pajama girl Kari].
Sorry for you who like cel-shaded/anime style: I don't do "clean" CG linework. Boo.

I'll do commissions 2 at a time; the first will be whomever is next in line and the second is someone I'll select. Usually the second person will be the person asking for a sketch or whatever takes the least time to speed up the queue a bit so that it wouldn't feel as slow as Kurz-Ancestral on an AB weekend. Exceptions would be people with writeups that especially strike my fancy. Backstory and other RP wahoo are appreciated.

Pricing is simple:

Pencil Sketch - 15k
+ full background - add 5k
Painted subject - 50k
+ full background - add 20k

Granted, that can total up to be more expensive than most other offers, but I'm also open to you paying up to 5k less and substituting gold weapons with decent mods that you won't need, up to that 5k value [this goes towards giveaways for new players].

I am comfortable with any kind of characters, blah blah blah. The only condition I ask for is the right to change the pose if I feel that what you ask for will negatively affect the outcome of the image. Also, please have all information and the format requested on the initial post; placeholder posts will be ignored.

Some reference pictures, if you could, I would like a rainy scene with some thunder / lightning. If it's possible to make it look like she is controlling the elements in the picture (however you decide to depict it).

I'll be taking a few more pictures in a bit for reference, but if the shot is taken with Icy floating in the middle of a lake, top of a mountain, etc... t'would be nice

sorry i took some time to make this update but i couldn't access GW for a while

I wanted a colored picture of my Valeria swinging her hammer like in old times knocking her enemies down. Maybe her jumping up with the hammer above her head like she does while using "hammer bash". Or bringing her hammer down and whirling up some dust/sand.
I always loved to run around in the crystal desert and fighting some desert griffins, so a desert-like background would be nice (but i don't really need a background).

After leaving old ascalon behind she has been around the world facing all kinds of evil. But there is nothing better then returning to lions arch and the new ascalon settlement in north kryta. The new home for everyone that followed Rurik over the shiverpeaks.
After fighting Abbadon and his henchmen finally the time has come to relax. Spending some good time with her long time friend Julius and chasing skales around the beaches of Kryta.

rather than bog you down in her extensive bio, here's a series of expressions to choose from and develop ~ I realise that her playfuylness is a contrast from your usual stuff, but Ala has an ominous aspect too :}

I know when we exchanged PM's I asked for a painting, but that was more my reaction to the beautiful work you've posted here ..

Your painterly style is best suited for a scene with motion, whereas what I am asking for here are more static poses ~

* with that in mind, I'll change my request to a sketch (or more than one, should you ever get time~!@)
* no background required, but if you think one would work better for a sketch, then some theme based on Kaineng would be appropriate (and I think, be quite a lot more effort than your pricing indicates) .. perhaps some lines suggestive of a street- or roofscape~?

I'm updating this a little late, but you seem to work through those commishes sooner than I expected~!

Wow, looking at your DA I must say you have AMAZING style. I know I'm kinda late to post (usually I notice commissioners poop out after 1-2 commissions...) but hopefully I'll make it. If not, that's coo' =P

Here's Sue's bio:

Sue Aside is a very mischievous and adventurous mesmer, sometimes too much for her own good. She worked as a bodyguard of sorts for the Kaineng traders who did not believe in violence as an answer. Instead, she would provide cover by showing the attackers temporary visions of phantoms that were not really there, allowing the traders and herself a quick getaway.

Through her line of duty she met a mysterious male mesmer and they fell in love. He bought her many expensive dresses, and armors before he finally purposed to her. On the day of their wedding, many traders who loved Sue attended to see this blessed day.

That day however proved fatal when her groom revealed himself as Am Fah. The groom and his side of the "family" raised their weapons to the traders, and many if not all were slaughtered that day. The Am Fah proved victorious and ran out of the wedding area to raid the houses of those whom they had killed.

Sue was left crippled and bleeding not only physically, but internally as well from the betrayal of her fiance. Since then, violence became an answer. Her methods became more torturous, especially with Am Fah. Not only would she give them false visions, but she would wear down their energy and cause them to attack themselves helplessly.

While she no longer works with the Kaineng traders, she can still be seen walking along the roads and cities of Cantha, seeking revenge on those who betrayed her.

Again yes, she's inspired by the bride from Kill Bill =P Her dress does not have to remain clean and new, depending on what time frame you want to portray her in (before/after betrayal). If its after then blood stains are encouraged.

I'd really like a painted one of my monk displaying her tiger emote. If adding the emote is too much extra work you can skimp on the background, I don't care. It looks like you will probably get tired of doing commissions but if you DO get to me let me know and I will send you any other references that could help. She is a cute little monk, but I'd like to see her also looking powerful with her Bone Dragon Staff, busting out a tiger. I really like your action shots that I saw on DA ~ you get the idea of movement, and choosing smart angles to make your art come alive, and I know you could make this look amazing.

I've spent a lot of time mixing (ugly monk) armor sets, and the pic below is of the best mix i could come up with. But the one thing that always bugged me was even though I tried to dye the tattoos invisible it doesnt quite look it. Point of that: I would be STOKED if you could draw her, and you could just not draw the tattoos, haha. My monkadunk would look cute for once :P I've also always thought the characters look lame doing the /fame emotes because they just /cheer and then stand there. One of your strong action poses would look SO awesome with that emote, and monk could still have her cute staff, unlike when you do the emote in game.

I don't RP so I can't tell you a lot there, but I have been playing guild wars since it came out and am very into HA, so that tiger emote def means something to me. And so does my monk, with 12 mil exp, and since she has farmed the large majority of my fame. She's spent most of her time in hero's ascent, and according to GW lore it's basically a global tournament where teams compete against each other for the god's favor and amusement... kind of like one big gladiator's arena in the sky! So even though my monk looks probably kind of harmless, I still think of her as being fierce... having weathered so many battles on the way to the HoH. So imagine fighting all these teams to get to the hall and winning it - I just see her standing on the altar of the hall of heroes in one of your awesome battle stances, her tiger leaping out and howling in victory! cool, no? <3

"I was born in Kaineng, though I guess that's not saying much. M'father's a failed dye trader, m'mother's an artisan. Lived in the slum, same's every other real Canthan kid on the continent. They always wanted me to do something else, though, get out of that dump. Guess that's why they named me Freedom. S'pose that's what everyone wanted, really, to get out - but we got lucky. Sort of. Got an aunt 'n' uncle, living out on the edge, in Sunjiang. They've got some money, not enough to get out but enough to live well's you can in a ten-by-ten. Their fool kid Arisa got herself kicked out of Shing Jea, broke their hearts, ran away to join the stinking Am Fah. They figured she'd ruined their shot, been shamed, lost their chance for one of them to get out. So when m'parents asked if I could move in wi'them, they figured they'd got another chance at getting it right. I was twelve, then. Crowded there, but we were close to the valley, 'n' I'd take off, run 'round in the grass, scare 'em half dead. Was the first time in my life I'd seen plants, REAL plants, not those stupid scrawny weed things that'd pop up in the planks back home. And the tigers! Oh, I saw those great orange cats 'n' right then I knew what I'd do when I got out. Packed me off to Shing Jea a few months back, 'n' here I am. Finally got out... 'n' now this plague's got me getting back in."

BTW, do you charge extra for pets? I'd love to include her (future) pet white tiger Yuki.

Spoon Legs, although not my oldest character, is my favorite. spoon originally looked like all other monks (bun heads), but was later changed to be a little more unique. although a little awkward at times, she gets along with all as she's a gregarious person. however, spoon is a little mischievous in that people who anger her may not receive as much healing
