aw you guys... XD
I sure hope the results will be up soon, the delay somehow makes this a lot more exciting than usual, lol. I'm drowning in chemistry homework so I'll probably be up all night, I sure hope they post the results soonish so it'll be less of a distraction. I don't want to be *too* bleary-eyed and coffee-dependent tomorrow, I have a long day to get through.
Tzu, once the official results are up will the workshop results be up short after? Or are the categories based on the official results still undecided (i had a few ideas how this couldve been awarded so..)
cause you did say you'd be home all night :P

well, if they post the results tonight they probably wont be, I'm gonna get as much sleep as I possibly can. XD Tomorrow I'm at uni until this time of day minus 2-3 hours, there's a possibility the results will be up then because I'm usually to tired to do any kind of homework after that.
I said I'd probably be offline until thursday because mon-wed is an absolute nightmare for me with uni work, labs, early start and late evenings. If I manage to isolate myself from guru during this part of the week then I will, for my own health :/ The judging has concluded though, except for the GHAE award, which naturally might re-arrange some of the winners due to the rule of only 1 award per person. I'm setting aside some time for any kind of extra work me and the judges may or may not have to do as a result of the official contest winners.
tldr; results of the workshop will be up tomorrow or thursday.
ARGH, looks like I'll have to find out about the results when I get home tonight. Ugh, this is going to drive me insane in my next class. I think I'll sneak out to the ceramics building during the dinner break and use their computer - if its posted by then (6 pm).
Is it to late to enter? I'd like to submit this short Horror story...
After much analysis and discussion, we’ve decided to permanently retire the Halloween 2010 Art Contest.
Initially, we did not publish the Halloween 2010 Art Contest Winners due to recurring technical issues that caused incorrect winners each year. We conducted an exhaustive investigation into the backend code that runs the Halloween 2010 Art Contest to see what we could do to fix these issues. After careful evaluation, we concluded that it wasn’t possible to redeploy the Halloween 2010 Art Contest at the level of quality that our players expect without completely rebuilding it from scratch. To do that, we’d have to take away vital resources from the Guild Wars 2 team. Given the circumstances, we decided it was more important to keep our focus on Guild Wars 2, and permanently retire the Halloween 2010 Art Contest.
This was a tough call for us to make. We’ve greatly appreciated the community’s enthusiastic support for Halloween 2010 Art Contest. We know that this decision will disappoint some players, and we apologize for that, but ultimately we believe this was the right decision.
We would like to address the question that some of you have about the distribution of the Halloween 2010 Art Contest Prizes. Technical issues occurred with the 2010 winners selection, and not everyone received the accurate number of votes. Like I posted on above, the accurate selection of winners was directly linked to us being able to fix the Halloween 2010 Art Contest. As we have made the decision to retire Halloween 2010 Art Contest because of the issues with the backend code, this also means that we cannot distribute those prizes.
Having said that, the Zaishen Order is currently looking into Kun Shao's bookkeeping, and they will assist in sorting out his records--meaning we will put an NPC in game that will give each Guild Wars account a Mad King Gaurd. Each account can pick up this Mini from the NPC one time only.
We will let you know once he has arrived on the servers.
You would think having announced the contest a near month ago, they would have the infrastructure in place to just insert the winning entry images into their respective slots.
*Edit: winners are up.
