I think I recall GW-EN wanting to do something about the party, but I'm not sure what.
All for vent, even though I dont have a mic myself.
Regarding the wintersday workshop I thought the addition of an IRC-channel would be a fun way to get to know eachother better, etc. I dont know whether it would detract from the content of the workshop though, its nice to have a little bit of chit-chat spill in here as well.

ohhh these new ones are looking nice ^^
@sophikar I like the form it's in! i could instantly recognize the character ^^ well done.
@arvida You've still got a ways to go if you're entering the official contest ( i can't believe it ends tomorrow O but you're heading in the right direction ^^ I would suggest grabbing the colours directly from concept art of the shatterer to get the same feel of epicness. I also don't know about the glowing, i think it should exist but not so much. So maybe instead of like a big cloud of mist, maybe a really vibrant inside (so of like ifthe inside of the shatterer were a huge IMFIRINMAHLAZERSbeam) and have it fade out quickly on the edges.
So sort of related sort of unrelated, I'm working on another piece (not necessarily for the contest or the thread.. BUT keep reading!) which is halloween and guild wars related. Would it be ok if I posted some WiP's here while the thread is still up and running (over the next week or so) or do you want to keep this thread strictly related to entering the contest?
the idea right now is gwen's trick or treating, makes it to a hill, and sees a looming haunted mansion she can't decide if she should enter ^^

@odinius: I loooove your idea!!! You even carved the cooking gloves and added little lamps!! It’s really a wonderful work! ^^
@Tzu: nothing more to add, +- everything have already been said. You look stunning and did a wonderful job on this costume! Btw, I especially love this picture of you: http://adamoluna.deviantart.com/#/d314zpc
@KiyaKoreena: I just posted on your deviantart ^^ but but.. you look so evil yet so cute!! I want a doll like that too!! ^^ also, your head looks sooo real!
@Minami: big big hear for you!! I already looked a few times at your 3D drawing and I can’t even imagine how much time you have put in your drawing!! I’m still wondering how you get such a good result on the hair!! ^^
So I hope my message will finally come in this tread, it’s already the 3th time I’m posting and I got a message that I have to wait for the moderator to accept my message ~_~ and it never gets online *confused*
So my ritualist is finally done and I went into the forest late in the evening to take some more “Halloween” related pictures. (ow god I was freezing but it was worth it XD!!)
I don't know how to add the "spoiler button" so I'll just add the link here, sorry. ^^

Hmm, so... Minami, I aint mad, as it was just a matter of going back a few steps (which is what I've been doing all over(the lightning is an after effect)), I managed to tackle all your points
I've to state that there is another light-source off-map, which shines a light on all the three posters. The candle does not produce as much light as the out-of-the-map lightsource and thus has not got the same effect on the overall image.
Please, for the last time (I hope) C&C

@ Kittycricri, thanks so much Your ritualist looks kick-ass, is it the same/an upgraded version of the one you worse at gamescom? I so wish I'd seen it irl, the detailing looks awesome.

@kittycricri Wow, that looks awesome! the skirt is very well ornamented! I also like the skull; did you make it or did you buy it and sort of fix it to fit the character? ^^
all you need is a wacky waving arm-inflatable tube spirit and you'd be 100% in character :P
Great work, itll be interesting to see how these compete with the costumes we haven't seen that are entered.
@Dutch it looks better now. The pumpkin could still be rounded out a wee-bit more, but I can understand if it's too difficult due to the way things are layered and effected (i know, i had some trouble with the making changes to my pumpkins :P). That's really the only thing I can think of right now.

Noes, I was working on the depth of both the wood & the bricks and because I cropped my last version(which screwed the composition up) and saved it.... I have to do all the scaling again D:

@sayael, that is so awesome how you presented your amazing progress! I love your opening screen comments XD
@Dutch, I loved that you gave the pumpkin an eye to make it more exciting! Your piece looks so great that I keep thinking you're done XD That's terrible that you accidently saved your last cropped version D: I hope it won't be to much work to get back to where you were!
@sophikar, very lovely! I completely agree with Artemis in loving the stain glass look!
@arvida, I LOVE what you did to the purple! Your dragon looks great! Time for the rider :P
@Death, I would love to see your new gwen piece Already, it sounds like it'll be very fun to create!
@Kittycricri, wow... I hope we officially have all top 3 costume winners! How gorgeous and vibran looking!
A party sounds really fun It would seem a shame to have it after Halloween though when all the decorations are gone D: I do like the alternatives of a scary location to make up for it or a wintery place to kick start the wintersday workshop! Regardless, I'm looking forward to whatever gets decided

@Thistle your comments always make me want to work harder; you're always excited to see everything
I think you'll like my painting... I'm gunna upload it once I lay down the base colours. It's very different in style to my pumpkins because it was originally going to be a practice piece from a tutorial i read. But then i thought halloween, spooky mansion, trick or treating, little girl... and it turned into GW fanart :P
im almost ready to upload. ^^

LOL, it's easy being excited when artists here have so much creative ability and artistic energy There's no way I would have been able to have written my story so quickly had it not been for all of you energizing the right half of my brain XD! On a side note, when I was reading the last parts of my story that I had written before my 24-hour break, I learned with great writing speed comes many, many typos D: My goodness...
hehe, anyway, looking forward to seeing your piece
@Dutch, congrats on finishing! Glad to see you didn't have too much trouble after that accidental save!

-twiddles thumbs-
im waiting for dA to upload my piece, and i might make my WiP album on photobucket this time.
[thisbewherelinkgoeswhendAuploads]
So im really really liking my gwen, i feel like her structure is proportioned correctly (which is odd, because I can't draw people well). I threw in assorted mansion colours, wasn't sure what to pick so i put in a few xD
The remaining colours are sort of the midrange tones I think... the trees right now are too bright but aren't bright enough for highlights.
The grass is sort of an aqua-y colour, didn't know if it was too watery or not.

@odinius oh my god thats amazing! All the different shots really help to enhance the concept! How much, roughly, does fimo clay cost? I've never heard of it before..

Thanks!
It's about € 2,85 a package of 56 grams
It comes in 24 basic colours and some effect mixes, it's a kind of plastic which you can easily glue or cut when baked.
You can mix any colour to get what you want and it doesn't harden by itself.
The darker ones stain like hell and working with dark and light requires a lot of washing hands
