Right, minecraft and custom textures took allot of my time in the last few weeks ... so i had to hurry over the last few days to make some serious progress :/ ... hopefully i can get some feedback tonight/tomorrow morning, so i can 'maybe' integrate the feedback into the final submission ... ill have to do my progress site 'in reverse' (ak. update it next week :P ) ... And yes there is still something missing from the picture ... The 'Bookah' ... it will go in tomorrow ...
@Minami, can you [spoil ] that image [/spoil ] please , otherwise, looks mighty fine !
@Tzu, im *cough* missing a bow *cough* ... otherwise, great job ...
@Sordax, spooky...
@Dutch, to busy for my taste, but i can see where you are going with the multiple posters

Uhh... since it's the officially done and final entry, we don't use the spoil tags there.
Also, I'm so sorry I forgot to comment on Tommy's picture...
It looks very cool, don't bring yourself down about it for no reason ^_^
I like the style and the colors, plus that pumpkin half in the ground turned out very very nice! I also really like the ground texture, very good job!

Frankly the idea for a poster on wood is quite common, I actually wanted to do that last wintersday, but I couldnt find the right materials to make it look alright and went with what you can now see as a honorable mention of last year's contest. Halloween gave me some more stuff to work my idea out and I believe it's turning out great
Also, looking at both of your pictures I spot something else that I won't name but is not cool either.
Also, putting on my finishing touches later today, I hope to have it done tonight or somewhere early tomorrow and I'll send it in tomorrow evening

@Konig: Yay! Congrats on getting done! I really enjoyed your story and I adore your writing style I have to complain that there aren't enough snuggling puppies and kitties in your final version though! J/K of course :P Btw, I still can't figure out what the pressure is spoiler tag for me please
@Dutch: How wonderful! I can't believe how much your piece has grown over this workshop.
@Sordrax: Yay! I'm glad to hear that's what you had intended
@Tzu: O...M...G... So stunning! I'll be very disappointed if you and kiya aren't one of the top 3 costume winners. I really hope we'll be seeing you both on the guildwars page and others will get to share in what you've both accomplished! BTW, I find it absolutely HILARIOUS that you had to clarify about underwear XD
@Charlie: aww, you are sooo sweet There's no need to say sorry, because I haven't even posted the whole thing yet XD Besides, I knew I was shooting myself in the foot for making it so long (I can't even get my hubby to read it QQ), but I couldn't help it once I fell in love with my characters XD
@Minami: Thanks so much for my new Halloween wallpaper Oh, and I realized an earlier typo when I said I liked the tattoo on his back when I meant tattoo on his back *arm* XD Great job! Now you need to photoshop me and marsh in there too since we love razah, too!
@arghore: that's so great! He looks so spooky like that!
As for myself, I'm enjoying my 24-hour break from writing I didn't have to lug my laptop on the bus! Hopefully, I'll have everything proofread and formatted to be submitted tomorrow!

i didnt even notice the gloves the first time; which can be a good thing cause I forgot the glowy hand existed originally ^^
@complainy poster people
theres no reason to argue over stuff, ideas will always overlap. I mean, were in a workshop to collaborate and generate the best art we can. If we see things here and then go work on something, we might subconsciously implent them because we saw how well they turned out and our brains remembered it. ^^

I would hope that having the address on the picture would cause people to go look there because it leads to more pictures as well as two videos. Additionally, I hate Windows Movie Maker with the heat of a thousand suns.

Just saying, but I don't think Anet will follow links as they may eventually end up disclosing who send the submission and make a favor.. anyhow, it looks really awesome and it is the best costume for MKT to date that I've seen. Love the little kid too!

|
It's based after the (released) lore on him. Whatever, if any, new lore on him comes out this halloween, it very well may contradict the story, since there's so little on his actual life known - outside he hates tengu, had a village skinned alive, has a fear of termites, has a least one love interest in Istan with a princess, is a former king of Kryta, not much on him is released.
The last line of the work is straight from one of Thorn's oldest jokes.

Before Noon Pacific on the 22nd. So if you send it in the morning (for Anet's time) on the 22nd, it'd still count. But it is best to send it today or tomorrow.

The pressure is the boot of the executioner (I told you there was a more specific answer than what you said). Also, if I ever put in snuggling puppies and kittens in my writings, it'll be because they're snuggling for warmth during a blizzard or are dying of some disease.
Hmmm... Afflicted Puppies.

I wonder if there'd even be more than 5 costumes submitted.

That makes little sense. They already know who sent the submission - and some people (like myself) will add in handles (aka user names/nick names that the gw community knows the person as), so they would already know the thing you said that would be the reason why they wouldn't look at the link.

Tzu, that's awesome
Charlie - haha, yeah, 10k isn't much, but I was basing the reward on that off of the pitifully low gold quest rewards. In comparison to that, 10k is quite a lot
Shy Guy - I haven't even seen your entry - I haven't had the time to keep up with the thread this year. I did post about having that idea several weeks ago, though; I would have worked on it before but I was out of it with the flu for the past two weeks as well as being busy with work and design commissions. Rest assured I did not steal your idea. Images of posters tacked on wood are very common, and I went with that for how I wanted it laid out because I knew I could do it quickly because I've done dozens of pieces of art like that in the past. I'm using that style for a website design I've been working on lately as well
Edit: Quick search shows that I first posted about that exact idea a full month ago, in the first dozen pages of this thread. So if I really wanted, I could say you copied me But it's not exactly an uncommon idea, and having found yours, frankly it looks better than mine does anyway. I rushed mine to get it done fast because I knew I was out of time.

*cough* he could've copied my work too then
And yes, but I imagine that the final judges(after pre-judgement by an art dev and regina(this process has been stated somewhere after wintersday, last year)) will only get to see the artwork, and nothing else...
