I finished Minami's arm jewels and her skirt, and started to tackle Razah's armor.
Wow what a PITA *lol*
The lower arm part of his arm thingy is not done yet, I can't make myself do it today
Sleep time ^_^
EDIT: Oh and excuse my custom watermark *lol*
DeviantArt's watermark doesn't exactly cover this pic
@ Dutch Sunshine: loving it! The cracks in the wood are a huge improvement. I hadn't even noticed that was wood until this version O_O I'm still not a fan of the pumpkin though. Maybe the texture idea that people keep mentioning for Death by Arrow would make it more detailed so it matches the rest? I really love that tengu poster in the back btw! Just out of curiosity, now that I've seen Shy Guy's poster with the nail in it, what would you use to attach posters to brick?
I'm sure the asurans that are working with Lyssan Fools have figured something out for that! Though if I've time, I'll look into something more, eh, visable
I guess I need to look up what they're saying for Death by Arrow, as I haven't seen that yet.
yep, Im totally done, i thought ill wait till 21st to submit it so i can have some time to edit/add few things but i didnt really know what O: i just added few ghosts and thats it
@Thistle-Fondant is the most perfect looking stuff ever as long as you don't get crumbs rolled into it, but i stuck it to the gingerbread with icing so it held together pretty well. It gets nasty sticky if you get water on it though :S
To tell you the truth, I think I like the original the best. I mean, you're trying to show off the costume, right? I like it when it's not in shadow. :3
to all the sons, daughters, dads and mothers, because you guys have really done impressive work with your entries. Seriously, I have enjoyed this thread more than I can tell. I love the friendly and progressive athmosphere and all the artwork. Just too frustrated with some school stuff to write more
Although coming to look at this thread made me smile big time
Man I'm completely fed up with this entry, the more I look at it the more I dislike it. The only part left I like is the little Istani kid on the roof.. Well lets just hope the jury disagrees with me
@ shady: WOO! So awesome! Did the structure survive after the pictures taking for more burning on Halloween? Lol, I love how you use traditional light sources and added Acura high beams XD
@kiya: I like the original best tbh. I don't like lighting B at all because the toddler/toys pic is darker (and that's my fave) and C makes the solo one look darker D:
@Tommy: Don't be fed up! It came out great Congrats on getting it done!
@Minami: just out of curiosity, do you have to redraw your necro's outfit and jewels each time? or does the program let you save it and remorph it? Looking amazing btw, and it's still going to be my Halloween wallpaper, custom watermark and all :P
As for myself, I've got 2/3 of a battle scene left to write (I had to break chapter 2 into 2 chapters so now I have 'Chapter 3: An Unexpected Change in Loyalties') snuck in, and I need to fiddle with the intro a bit more. THEN PROOFREADING ZOMG and final tweaks and synopsis writing (so much to do!). Anyway, I think I'm done mucking with the prologue so I'm posting it. Hopefully it's catchy enough so that anet will want to read the rest of the story! Just to get the idea of the length of the story, the prologue here is 404 words so imagine the prologue length times 32.44 to get the current story length @_@
OH, and my title is "The Making of Heroes"
Enjoy
Prologue
1017 A.E. of the Mouvelian calendar
He stood at the edge of the rocky cliff, his attention drawn to the unrestrained dance of energy among the dark clouds above the sea. Lightning flashed in some unheard ballad as he watched with a smile on his face. It was destructive and beautiful, reminding him of the woman he loved and awaited. On the sea, he and his friends would have trembled with fear and awe, desperate to keep their vessel afloat. However, he was on land now, and he was free and willing to appreciate the glorious show before him.
Waves crashed against the rocks far below him as he waited for his closest of friends. The scent of water permeated the air, and the hint of energy made the air hum around him. He took in a deep breath and let out a slow and contented sigh, reveling in nature’s glory as dusk settled around him. At the sound behind him, he turned, a warm greeting on his face as he saw who it was. Instinctively, he opened his arms as his friend came closer for a customary brief embrace.
His eyes bulged as the knife slid between two ribs and punctured his left lung. “Why?” he asked in stunned confusion as he touched the wound, seeing his own blood on his shaking fingers. The pain of the wound in his side was nothing compared to the trauma done to his very soul. His friend’s face was cold, and he felt the hurt metamorphose into rage at such a betrayal. He bared his teeth as he reached for the sword on his side all the while suffocating from the inside out. He would destroy his traitorous friends.
Instead, he was denied. A single palm to his chest and a solid push was all that was needed for him to lose balance as the ground crumbled under his feet. He fell backwards, struggling to grab and force his friend to join him in his death.
Again, he was denied. Grasping at the sheer cliff side, he tried in vain to stop his fall. Rage reddened his gaze as he thought of the unexpected treachery. He had been nothing but loyal, and in the end, his belief in good had destroyed him, leaving him to die alone. The friends he had believed in had cast him aside and now his bitterness and sorrow knew no bounds.
Then, the darkness came, and his thirst for retribution was all he had left.

Well uhh... I didn't try to morph it, I redrew the whole shebang *lol*
Working on Razah's armor again, then I'll go and draw the necklace on Minami, and do some more work on the whole thing.
The watermark will be gone once I submitted it, so no worries, you won't have to look at my pretty handwriting in your desktop wallpaper
I'm lame and have only just started mine now, holy crap.

Just got a little bit done so far - still need to do the majority of the text, make the actual image (combination of painting and Photoshop on a screenshot) match the parchment better, make it all fit together and actually look like a poster stuck to a fence...woooo. But it's something! And I should have it done by the end of the week to enter it in the official contest
Hope I can still sign up for this/doing it right. x.x

I'm srry peeps for totally ignoring you all.
Just been lurking in here to see all the amazing things you all did.
I've been soooo busy lately that the deadline is breathing down my neck like a panting minotaur.
The fimo clay set is almost done, only have to finish the fire for the oven and add some more cables and batteries for the led's.
I'll post the finished stuff reaaaaaaaally soon I promise.
