Thats amazing, i really love the pose! Are you planning on adding colour or leaving it black and white? If you're planning on a landscape I really think a moon should go in behind his hand. SUPERDRAMA!
Thanks man!
I'm really not that experienced in coloring but I'll definetely try it later in PS. And that moon is already kinda visible behind his hand along with some ghosts flying by
okay so i totally graduated (finally yay!)..i had my appropriate amount of celebrating over the past 2 weeks and so i finally found some time to continue on my drawing..It's still just a photo sorry i will scan it next time i promise
It got much more comic book like style feel to it than i previously wanted :/
also i cant really place remaining leg of that hellhound properly it just looks bad wherever i place it. I would really appreciate some tips on this
love the floating of the cape and the motion it capture.
Thanks man!

heh, i didnt notice the moon until after I posted ^^
it reminds me alot of this :P
@Death by an Arrow: Looking good! I think the pumpkin orange might be a little too bright, but I'm sure it'll be toned down once you add in shading I love how you put his head in there with the other pumpkins!
@Minami, hehe thanks! I'm definitely going to take tons of pics of the process to make sure he's ok with the process Your pic is turning out so well! The hair really looks good, I like what you did with the bangs. I'm not too much of a fan of the scar though, she's so pretty without it! Also, I'm not sure if it's my computer, but it looks like it's a little too pink to the right of her nose (our right) compared to the left. Metallic look on the armor is really cool so far!
@Stouda: looks so cool! grats on graduating On the hellhound leg, if it's doing a stalk walk, then I think the actual stalk movement is something so that the front and rear leg on each side are either close together or far apart instead of being parallel, if that makes sense?? So imagine if the left front leg and back leg are close, then the dog would move it's front left and back right leg so that the right front and back leg are now together and the left are far, and then repeat. If it's just bracing itself and moving its leg aggressively, then the back right leg should probably be in a similar mirror position of the back left to brace its weight (although there would have to be a bit more muscle strain on the one you want to draw in that case). Sorry, not sure if that's helpful or confusing
@Oh_Frustration: haha exactly! I was also thinking of making a little pumpkin staff for him too! BTW, love your progress so far, I love rits!
@actionjack: lol, that's too awesome!
BTW, after much fiddling, I think I got my wordpress blog ready to go! I'll put notes in the posts page and the actual halloween entry has its own page:
This is the first time I've got a blog going, and I'm loving that I can put all my stories in one place instead of spread all around on different sites. Ignore the other pages for the contest
stouda1 - that looks amazing already. I think you should color it.
Here's my (initial) finished version. I hope you can ignore the watermark. This is about 50% of the size I intend to submit it as. Would appreciate any feedback/critique ^_^
Again, thanks everyone! And special thanks to http://scarypet.deviantart.com/ for her critique (she suggested the secondary lighting on the lower left corner, some corrections on the skull and lighting stuff)
I personally think the moon needs to be fixed some more ...>_>

Looking swell raven. Her necklase is really beautifull. And that charrskull is very cool, with such a pruple tint. I agree with your feedbackfriend that lightsource was a good idea. However that would make the cat more visible, so you might want to make an outline at the side of the silouette of that cat. And I'm still convinced those curtains shouldnt be raffled! > Further then that it looks really cool. Perhabs dim down the lightning on Mina a bit, looks like alot of light from one small candle.
@ Stouda, the expression on that mad king is just priceless!
Too many replies to comment them all, can't keep up lol. But I have seen every single one of them and just want to say to everyone that they are doing great! If you would really like some CnC, let me know
here is my latest progress:
Gonna add the Haunted House tomorrow, and then its Mad King time ^^ Think he will be quite annoying to draw, with all his raffled cloths.
Thanks Tommy! I'll see what I can do with that cat lighting. We can also say that the table is one of those that has closed sides or whatever you call them *brain fart*
I am liking your piece. At first glance it looks like the pumpkin was doing this : \m/\m/ (the two hands are the candy corn guys) lol. It's pretty awesome lol
I uploaded a bigger version of the pic in DA with explanation since almost everything in that pic has a meaning to it (aside from the obvious GW/halloween elements :P). So yeah..I didn't just throw random stuff in there. I'll repost the pic/description here in the thread once I am done with the fixes:

Notes:
- I'm thinking of letting my MK be more art-like, because now I put my scetch on top of an edited ingame render. It has the feeling I want, but it doesn't yet look like 'mine' yet. Same goes for the moon and Dhuum.
- Icon for Lyssan Fools will be added
- It looks kind of smooth now, expect that to change when I come to my final closure which I already am planning on.

Looks nice DuSu. Just the main text (the return.. etc) looks to dull to me, really needs some special effects. And the text beneath that, is too tight on eachother, some parts hard to read.
Ok so question to you all: I need a small person/creature in my picture holding something. Anyone has an idea what Halloweenie creature I might use? Perhabs a mummy or an eloian kid with a witch hat, blow my mind off

Yeah, there's quite a lot of work that needs to be done still, got some cool things planned, but I'm trying to figure out a good way to do it, and let it still look original and more original than my last wintersday entry.

Hm... i know its wintersday but maybe a grentch? They're kinda scary D:
You could also try a ghost-in-a-box on the grown with the sign popping out (though im not sure what its being used for so that might not work).
I was suppost to work tonight but since its part-time at a golf course it all depends on how many people go through the day. So guess who isn't working today? ;D Guess who also doesnt have very much homework? ;DDD
-THIS KID-
I don't know where I should start today; last night i tried replacing the colours of the pumpkins and found a kind of nice orange, so i might replace some of the pumpkins with that colour. I also started to go over the yellow-orange sketch lines with colours matching the objects (a darker greens around the vines, etc.)
sidenote(totally unrelated)
so i upload my stages to my deviantART and my sketch got a crazy number of views (i think it was somewhere like 700 within the first 24 hours o.o) and it got me all excited, but all my views disappeared and it says all my views are from today; about 40someodds after i uploaded them. q.q
Chest piece (not finished still) and gauntlets drying. Weird angle, messy floor. But its progress!
Gauntlets spray painted, but airing out in the garage still.
More flash!
Tonight I will get the shoulder pieces and collar part added to the chest piece, do the rest of the glue coat, and then spray paint. Hoping I can get the boots done by Wednesday night.
I was having weird post counts on dA earlier too. I was so happy my Trick or Treat dragon was over 150 yesterday and when I checked this afternoon it had only listed the ones for today. Back to a nice larger number when I looked now.

oooooh those are looking good Im excited to see the belt
and my dA viewcount is back to normal too. huh, very strange.
i got side tracked tonight and have yet to start work on my drawing... my goal for the night is to convert my sketch lines into more appropriate colours.
@ raven: your artpiece is so gorgeous and detailed! The lower light really did make it better, especially to show off all those details you put in! Only critique I can think of us with the candle on the skull (I LOVE that you put the GW dragon in there btw!!). The melted candle wax on the side wouldn't flow like that: 1) it should start at the top before flowing down and forming those lines and is usually thicker at the top because of wax buildup and 2) I think it's great that the wax over the dragon darkens and then brightens to look like an eye, but the wax would have dripped down into the carving instead of being suspended like that. Awesome job on your pic! I agree with Tommy about doing something more with that cat, but I'm not sure how an outline would work with the lighting… maybe light glimmering off the cat's teeth??
@Tommy: very nice! I liked it a little more when you had some more shadows coming from the other candy corn on the guards, but it looking awesome! Those signs are such a perfect touch!
@Minami: gorgeous!
@Dutch Sunshine: That is very awesome and such a clever idea. I love what you wrote in the text Now we need someone making the screen play for 'A forbidden love: the charr who was in love with a human!'
@Tommy: Little Asura kids :P (Just because I like Asura)
@Kiya: Wow, that really looks like metal. Awesome!
