well, let's start with the first ever piece that anyone ever painted for Ala:
this gorgeous cel-shaded art by Nian <3
I love the haunted look of loneliness/sadness (which Ala covers up by appearing chirpy) ~

ravensong then created a series of drawings; there is so much detail and expression in these pictures, especially considering how fast he works~!
~ <3 action poses, and this one is in pencil done on yellowed paper so gives an aged effect, as if she were illustrated in a book

I then asked him to draw Ala (in photoshop), minus the cuteness~!

.. he did not one, but three versions, and Ala came out looking suitably menacing :}

I recently commissioned the cartoonist Fernando Serrano, he is a great guy and I had fun going over the pieces in my mangled Spanish~!@
.. the first I saw of his work was of modern or futuristic themes, so I thought, why not have some fun with that idea~?

the comic artist hydek also includes martial arts amongst his talents, all the better to depict Alacrity as she'd appear if we could indulge in unarmed combat in GW:

she's poised to "Go For The Eyes" (or some other delicate portion of the anatomy~!)
edit: hydek shaded&coloured these for me. He is open for commissions and does the occasional request

WrenStormbringer has made quite a name for herself, particularly in equine art - and also with her beautiful scenery, as in this gorgeous depiction of Alacrity on one of her adventures ~

*Wren also is available for fantasy commissions - she loved my written bio of Ala so based her portrait more off that, than visual refs - always a refreshing change :}

BlancDelilah has a small but enthusiastic following, and a distinctive style that I can only describe as playful & edgy :}

Lackshmana is an artist who has played GW and it shows~!

a very dynamic pose with Ala's most detailed costume ~
I have been toying with the idea of having this coloured .. but would that mess with the lovely shading he's done~?

here she is again, in colour this time ~ and with probably her most aggressive pose/expression to date

now Alacrity rarely gets mad but if this is what she's like, I'd hate to be the one to provoke her ..

actually, I never entailed seeing Ala unclad - altho I wanted an action pic, that nawty artist presented me with a sketch I could not resist; just had to have him ink & colour it as punishment~!

regrettably, ghoner is not taking anymore commissions at the time of this post ~ presumably to focus on his webcomics.
Those who have a story they'd like depicted with thought and detail, at very good prices, would do well to keep their eye out for when he opens his commish list again ..

There are some really great works here, and form a great 'shopping list' for future comissions. It's kinda a shame the list of active artists who will draw for GW money is kinda shrinking, but hopefully it's just a glitch.

Anyway i've collated some of the comissions i've had done of Shan on my wiki page which can be found here http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:Shan/Art_Gallery

They comprise of works done by such artists as Vinegar, GreyFox, Sab, Labenspai(of Healbot fame), Nian, Lilifrog, Nonoa, Rpvisions and meshsmoother to name but a few.

All but one of the images are work safe, bar that naughty Healbot who took some liberties.

As I get the time and more works done i'll expand on it, hopefully you'll enjoy my little collection. Naturally, comments are most welcome.
