Oh. Thanks guys, It seems my concerns were not well grounded... I'm human -- I'm allowed to have ungrounded fears (hahaha...). That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
If no one really minds the single-slot system, for now we'll just keep it as implemented. But the second it starts showing signs of being broken, I'm gonna fix it.
To answer a couple of questions:
There are a number of reasons I'm hesitant to just do what interests me. First, it would get really easy for me to just do the same thing over and over (my work wouldn't improve much). For example, IH's assassin character. If I were told that I'd be drawing futuristic ninjas as Guild Wars art, I wouldn't have believed it (before I started). Also, selection would seem arbitrary starting out -- and discriminatory much later on down the road.
As for why I don't have a queue, well, the reasons for that are simple: I don't like disappointing people; I like to give my clients as much specialized attention as possible (and don't yet have the organizational skills to do so with multiple clients); and I don't like things hanging over my head (especially not swords! haha... Mythology joke.). I'm at a point in my life where lots of things are changing -- and none of the change is entirely predictable. From what I can understand, it happens to everyone. If something were to happen -- for example, I were to get a higher-paying job that required relocation and tons of my time; I'd find it much easier to complete a single commission, and put the shop on hiatus, than tell three or four people that I don't have the time to do this (again, I hate disappointing people). Granted, things move a bit slower, and I don't make as much in a short amount of time; but I'm able to provide decent service to a single client. Which, in my opinion, is better than mediocre service to multiple clients. It's an old-school way of doing things, but I value quality of service.
As for Perynne's art trade: I'm cool with it -- on the condition that the scheduling for it be fairly lenient.
Okay. I'll be opening the slot later today when I've gotten off of work.

Sure, we can do the art-trade without a deadline. It'll suit me better as well, since I've got several things I'm working on at the moment too. If you have problems finishing it or decide at the last minute that you're too swamped with stuff, I do understand that. I do art as a job too, so I get times where a huge project drops onto my lap and demands all of my attention.
I'll pm details to you in a bit.

It looks like you've changed it to open, so...
Character Name: Illharess D Vhid
Screenshots: x x
Miscellaneous Character detail: Black hair with a red flower, white eye center that fades into black at outer edges, favorite weapon set is Platinum Wand + Celestial Compass, favorite elite is Spiteful Spirit
Description of Character: Distant, obsessive (particularly with beauty), lack of sympathy/empathy. She grew up in Ascalon, loving how incredibly beautiful it was. She lived a relatively normal life as a Necromancer recruit, but when the Searing destroyed her homeland, it destroyed her as well. She's spent most of her life since traveling the world in search of a place equally beautiful, while trying to improve her own appearance. By allowing her obsession to consume her, she no longer has total control over the dark magic of Necromancy. With each passing day, she loses a bit more of herself.
Grayscale is fine, though I don't mind paying for color as well.
I filled this out earlier and saved it into Notepad so I could post as soon as it was changed... Totally wasn't stalking this thread all day...

All right! Second commission is finished!
I'll show the progression of the piece...
Also finished Perynne's art trade...
*Claps dust off of hands*
Okay... Now there's some news to share. I'll be visiting family over the next couple of weeks (because I wasn't able to do so over the holidays...). I most likely won't be able to work on commissions during that period. However, I'd like to select the next client before I have to leave tomorrow. Though the slot will be filled today, work on the commission will not begin until Feb. 4th...
Some of you guys may have noticed a small change in the commission selection process... If you haven't, the change has been outlined in the initial post.
Commissions will be reopened in a bit.

ME! LOVE the last two. Really like your style, very unique <3- Screenshots of Character:
- Miscellaneous Character detail: hair-as it is in the screenie, eye color-VERY light blue, goes white(no pupil/iris) while casting, main/desired weapon- no weapons, always felt that eles would look cooler if the skill was cast from the hands
- as for armor i'll let you choose, i will update this tomorrow with some more angle shots of armor. if it can be incooperated I would like to have her ice crown in the picture.
- Description of Character: Aggressive, combat loving, seductive..likes to set innocent stuff on fire
I'd like a full body color (100k) and perfectly ok with waiting

I suppose I'll try for B/2. I'll fill this post with info within the hour.
* Saer Theon
* Ref 1, Ref 2
* Saer is a militant personality with an unyielding passion for war. Her battle style favors swift force, favoring overwhelming offense to otherwise typical assassination tactics. Her chief arsenal depends on the time/era depicted in, but in this case, she is equipped with 3 ranges of weapons: Her daggers, a pair katanas, and a Halberd as her primary weapon.
She has light blue/cyan eyes
Preferably, without headband, mask, and daggers on gloves.
Aside from these features, the rest I leave to your artistic license. If you need any more info or references, feel free to let me know.

Giving it another shot!
~Character name: Alacrity Deathpixie
~Screenshots of the character: Can be found here and here, along with some art done for her. Specific facial reference. She oftenly has a grim smile on her face though, not too serious
~Misc Character detail: There is a lot of info about her on the portfolio I linked, some info from it: small, cute, blonde, tan, trim, ripped, agile, deadly, playful with emphasis on mischief.
~Armor: As far as the armor goes: Ala does not wear a particular costume, she has many different outfits so accuracy with her clothing and accessories is not important; I encourage artists to play with them ..
.. but I do like her personal features to be distinctive.
If you prefer to stick with GuildWars armor, I think this is the set you should be looking at.
I would like to have the full colored buste option of 100k *starts to think of a plan to disqualify frostkiss and blank*
Oh and if you decide to pick me (don't know if you do first come first serve or pick one) could you still keep it away from the forums? It's a suprise for someone who will be back around februari, want to suprise her
