@Gemini: Alright, it being validated first by a moderator was probably what I read somewhere about restrictions. Thank you =]
@Tommy: Yeah I am just looking for in-game money so no worries there. And thank you too.
@Minami: Thank you, it was very helpful and I will reply to it soon as well (after I reply to everyone here )
@Verene: That's one thing that I am really hung up on, is that I absolutely don't know how much to price my art for. I don't want to either cut myself short in not getting enough payment and I don't want to cut others off by making them pay too much than what my art is worth too. Since in-game money has a completely different value than real life money, I am not sure how to price it. (I've never really been too great at pricing things in real life either XD )
Maybe you could help me with that somehow?
Also, about the Party: I will be attending, though if I am correct 12:01 p.m. GMT is about 4:01 a.m. PST?? That's bright and early for sure XD
So I would show up anywhere between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. here, am I correct? Because I certainly do not want to miss out on the awesome party! ^^

Nemesis - it's tricky. I was doing stuff for between 10k-40k, and since I was doing chibis on the lower end of the price range and those were popular at the time, I had a bunch of requests for chibi art which didn't necessarily take less time to make than something I was charging more for. As a result I realized that with the time I was taking on those drawings, I could have farmed 3-4 times that much money (and I'm not a heavy-duty farmer by any means - I farm feathers for most of my income in-game). I could have charged much more for my stuff, but I tend to be a bit down on my abilities.
Most people do 'tiers', I suppose you can say - like "for this much, I'll do this. For that amount, I'll do that.", with simple stuff being cheaper and more complex things being more expensive.
And then there are always going to be a few people who will pay any amount for art, and there's something of a tradition of tipping artists here as well. Being as there's not many people taking commissions at the moment, I'm pretty sure you can price however you want and have no troubles. Just keep in mind the time investment for each drawing, and see what other people have been charging recently.

Just to make something clear, which, now i see it again, might be read wrong ... the party lasts for 12h from saterday 12:01h pm GMT till 24:00h pm GMT on Saterday ... perhaps i should have made the time 23:59h GMT just to make sure the time could not be misunderstood ... (so incase you wondered, its not lasting untill 23:59h on sunday) ... the rest of the info is right though
GW-EN will help us out with music, 'on air' trivia and announcements of the WorkShop Winners
And there will be some additional entertainment
Hope you all can make it, if only for a lil while, we kept the timewindow as large as possible to give every timezone a chance to come hang out, on a 'hopefully for most people' free day ...
@Nemisis, you are correct, show up anywhere in those 12h and join the fun

Yay I am off that day and hence will be at the party. Not the entire time, mind, since it starts at 6am my time, but at least for the second half of it I'll be there ^^
What district are we taking over, though? International 1, like we have in the past?

Oooh, I think I'll be able to come hang out for most of the party. :3 Looking forward to it!
@Nemesis: When I was doing commissions, I priced things according to about how long they'd take to do. A full-colour, full body, detailed background drawing was around or over 100k; a coloured bust drawing with a simple background around 40-50k.
The pricing should really depend on what you think your own work is worth. Some people ask for more, some people less, and you won't know what will work best for you until you open up your commission thread. You should also remember that there are quite a few people here with extra money who are willing to pay high prices for a commission. So, perhaps set some base price for a drawing style that comes easily to you, and then also let people suggest their own ideas and what they'd be willing to pay for it?
I've found that people in Nolani tend to be very fair when it comes to payment. There are occasional lurker visitors who don't know the "unwritten rules" about commissioning, but if you do commissions to the regulars here you can expect to get a fair price for your work.

You can give the donation to us too, and we will make sure it'll get to the party. Minami is the main Keeper of Prizes so you should try contacting her first, and then if you're unable to match up times for meeting ingame I can help out too.

They already PMed me asking if I'd sell mine, and I've gotten several whispers in-game asking to sell it. Seriously, let me get it first
And while not everyone goes by their character names on here we generally figure out who is who pretty easily. Otherwise just go "Hey I'm FNM " when you arrive ^^
(also I'm dragging my boyfriend with me to the party - he was going to enter but didn't have time to unfortunately)
