How on earth do you all find time for all the games (and horror films) on top of all the art you do?

My current slowness in drawing is actually attributed to World of Warcraft. =P So Aeronwen, it does affect me lol.
Minami - you should definitely see the Japanese (I stand corrected by Perynne lol and not sure which version I saw guess is theatrical O_O) version of the Grudge. I think I saw the Sarah Michelle Gellar version actually but it didn't stick with me because the original version is scarier. I never saw the Ring...which I think started the US adaptation of Asian horror films
I've heard of Fatal Frame. I didn't get it because Silent HIll for PS scarred me lol. I love survival horror but I don't want to play it alone. First time I played Resident Evil (RE2), I couldn't sleep for two days. I played Silent Hill later on and lost some sleep because I keep hearing the radio static in my head. From then on I refuse to play survival horror on nighttime or if I do play it at nighttime, I don't want to be alone. I was jumping for joy when they released RE5 in coop mode. There's also a coop (online) version of RE in PS and I played that with my roommates. Was a lot of fun.
Yes, when I said I love horror movies in one of my previous posts, that is still very much true.
Don't have a Wii but I got the PS Move Bundle. I love it! I picked up The Fight:Lights Out and an extra controller and I am still sore. PLayed it Monday, still sore Tuesday so I rested. Still sore Wednesday but I couldn't wait anymore so I went ahead and played it despite the pain. Thursday, still sore lol. What a fun workout.

Yeah I was dissapointed with Galaxy too. I want to see more N64 style. That one is so cool. I hope there will be a new Streets of Rage game. Now that is an awesome game.

I remember watching my dad play the very first original Prince of Persia,
and Blood Money,
then we started playing the Commander Keen series,
dodged the dogs in Alley Cat,
saved the earth (and met 2 headed squirrels) in Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders,
and got lost in the ever awesome Monkey Island series.
*sigh*
What an awesome journey ^_^

lol, Minami! I used to play video games with my dad too.
We played super mario bros 3 and alternate between Mario and Luigi
We played Double Dragon and Contra - awesome coop games
We also played, I think, salamander or something. I am not sure of the title..but it was about two spaceships. Also a coop game

5th one reminds me of Maniac Mansion. That game ticked me and my friends off so bad, couldn't get past the security door.

Kiya, I think Maniac Mansion was the game that came out before Zak McKracken, also by LucasArts. The two games have cross references in each other, like in Maniac Mansion, a "red herring" chainsaw can be found, but it has no fuel; in Zak, chainsaw fuel can be found, but not a chainsaw. When one of the characters is ordered to pick it up, the character replies "I don't need it, it's for a different game."
It took us about 5 years to get over a spot in Zak McKracken, where we could not light a campfire in a cave. Turns out the game packaging is super important, it had all the clues to the game D: We didn't have the packaging anymore.
Then I got my hands on one of them old fashioned actual book walkthroughs, and it told me to look for a lighter under an airplane seat (after completing a difficult series of tasks, I had about 30 seconds to grab the lighter). Hahhhh.... I remember running to my mom and yelling OMG MOM, WE LIT THE FIRE!!!!! And she came running
Oh, and the entire game was in German, too
Ninja Edit: On that screenshot I attacked, if you go even more to the left with the character, you can see a poster advertising Maniac Mansion on the wall ^_^

I just went and googled MM and yep, packaging was important. Too bad when we bought the computer and all the games with it there was no packaging for that one game. Grrr. The security door was an anti-pirating device. Real copy+no book=too bad!

In Zak, you had to look up a cashcard (credit card) code when you bought airplane tickets to fly to different areas of the game (like, Lima, Peru, or Egypt).
If you entered the code wrong 5 times over, you (Zak) got taken away to prison, and got a big lecture on piracy by the guard.
He then leaves you in jail, and game over

My dad never played videogames with me....
Gah, the wait is getting almost unbearable. I won't be home for a couple of days starting from tomorrow morning, so I hope they post the results before I leave! Otherwise I'll be fidgeting about it for the rest of the weekend.

Used to play Snowboard Kids alot with my mom and dad when I was little. My dad doesn't really like video games. And my mom actually does. Games such as Diablo and New Super Mario Bros. But she has no coördination at all lol.

My dad always played Blood Money to the end, with some crazy high scores. He ruled the game. I tried it when I was little, and died about 5 minutes into the game.
About 2 years ago, I downloaded the DOS emulator and booted up that game, thinking that now after so many years of gaming experience, I'll finish it too, like my dad did (the game still had my dad's high scores ^_^).
Guess how far I got...
Yeap, about 5 minutes in

Today's the day!
Don't think I placed, considering that Google insight for my video isn't dropping any hints, but regardless, it's still exciting. Hope to see many GWGuru people on this list!

My dad and I always played Mario and Zelda and Dragon Warrior together when I was a kid.
He also taught me and my siblings to play Dungeons and Dragons when I was 12 (and they were 9 and 6). I was a horribly evil GM even then He and my mom used to play until I was born; my mom says that they stopped so I wouldn't eat all of the figures she painted XD
Ahhhh, time to start refreshing...

Looking forward to hopefully seeing the awards announced today. And there shouldn't be any technical difficulties I hope - I didn't submit anything this time around that broke their website :3
