Well, aside from the fact that I play videogames that are mainly targetted towards male audience (Metal Gear Solid, Fight:Lights Out, World of Warcraft, etc), loves action/horror movies (hates romcom/chick flicks) and drawing attractive women...:P

Always knew Minami is a girl. Marsh is a girl too, right?

thread derailment ftw lol
Hey, that first paragraph is me! O_O Although I'm not an Asian

MGS ftw! Playing Mass Effect now, looove Fallout, Assassin's Creed, all the good stuff ^_^ Ooo horror movies! Favorites ought to be the Grudge (death rattle... O_O) and the Shining.
Also, drawing attractive women, yaaay! ^_^

Yeah, Marshy is a girl too So is bebe, but I haven't seen her around much And of course Tzu ^_^

@PenguinOo: I don't think this is a dating thread, most of the girls here are either married, or have boyfriends. It seems more like a get to know who's who kind of post chain going on

I'd say I qualify but I am not available anymore. Although the psycho part is kind of questionable in my case because of what I just posted previously.=P

*blames boredom for the random babbling* I really want to draw right now but I am at work..anyhow, I hope someone opens a commission thread so I can hoard artworks instead.

NINJA EDIT: lol@ Minami and I am also called Mina ..Long lost twin perhaps? XD

EDIT 2- And I am no psycho. that was a joke in case someone takes it seriously lol

*hugs back* funny you mentioned The Shining, I just watched it a couple of months ago via Netflix. I've never seen it before that. Great movie! Finally saw the inspiration behind Charlie's halloween pic entry.

Are you talking about the original (Korean I think) version of the Grudge? Because that's what I saw. I've seen both 1 and 2 and they are a whole new level of scary lol. There's something about asian horror movies that gets to you for some reason. I also watched Shutter 2 (I think this one is Thai) and that also freaked me out.

Yeah I know, i am still off topic.

Naw, unfortunately I never managed to see the original Grudge...
But the version with Sarah Michelle Gellar is still awesomely spooky.
Asian spirit world and horrors are uber scary! O_O

One of my all time favorite video game series is called Fatal Frame. The second game in the series, Fatal Frame: Crimson Butterfly, is one of the most awesome videogames ever made.
Brilliant scares, folklore, rituals, ghosts, the whole works.
It was out for the PS2, and althought it's futile to hope so, I still wish they'd remake the series for the 360
It was the game that started me in 3D modeling actually ^_^

Day 3 of schools closed because of snow but today my husband actually made it to work. One would think that because I've been stuck in the house I would get some plushies or statues done but I haven't. I so want out of the house and a few hours away from the kids.

Can't see the tonic going for more than 3k ecto, prob closer to 2k.

@Penguin: Sounds like me, though I can't tell if I'm annoying or not. Haven't got any complaints in that area yet though. :P I'm not psycho, although I do enjoy watching and reading things with psychos in them.

@Ravenhawk: Haha, you sound so much like me too. I looooove horror movies, especially asian ones! Grudge is not korean, it's japanese. And did you see the made-for-tv version, or the theatre version?
Shutter is thai, yes. I can also recommend Phone (korean) and Tale of Two Sisters (korean). Tale of Two Sisters is one of my absolute favourite korean horror movies, although it's probably the most hard to understand one too.

@Minami: Fatal Frame <3 Although I know it by the name Project Zero. I haven't been able to finish playing that series yet, because they're so scary! Barely made it through the first game. Still, I love watching someone else play them, the mood is just spot on and the folklore is so interesting.

@Kiya: Aw... I hope you get some time to yourself soon. I can totally understand the need to get away sometimes.

And hehe, yeah, here's hoping the results will come in soon so we'll have something else to talk about. XD

I'm in GA too. I did not move across the continent to have multiple inches of snow in my yard!

*crossing fingers already thinking about Friday* Please no technical difficulties this time....

Yeah, we have a ton of snow but no school closures here! It usually takes at least a foot to close anything down up here.

@Raven - pretty much all games are marketed to guys, they market very little towards women and the ones they do are fitness games or just plain crap. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is my current addiction, the multiplayer is so much fun

I hope they announce the results early on Friday, I have work that evening o.o

Well, Wii games are generally marketed towards both genders. As you can see in their commercials.

Wii games are marketed towards families and non-gamers, actually. And there are very few Wii games worth playing.

I have some zombie arcade shooters for the Wii, which I use the guns with (I have a resident evil themed wii zapper and a sniper rifle xD ). The stories are particularly bad (House of the Dead: Overkill) but its insanely fun to play an arcade style game at home, especially with someone else. =D

the wii does have some reputable titles though.

twilight princess, super mario galaxy 1&2, I enjoyed Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (haven't tried Other M yet). Wii Sports/Resort is kind of gimmicky but damn, table tennis/tennis/swordfighting. Fun. :3

Archery is the best thing on Wii Sports Resort I don't like Mario Galaxy, though, I've never liked the 3D Mario games. New Super Mario Bros is clearly superior. And I couldn't play Twilight Princess because I can't use the nunchuck (after a half hour of play, my hand is completely cramped up and in pain. The damn controller is too big).

House of the Dead: Overkill is awesome. It's so camp that you just can't get enough of it. Also the idea of having a zombie shooter arcade style game in your own living room is fun. I don't own a Wii, but I've played it elsewhere.

Super Smash Bros Brawl is fun too. :3

Saves on quarters, can't go wrong there! I also bought Monster Hunter 3 cus I heard it was a pretty good Wii game but the beginning seems kinda slow so far so I haven't been too motivated to continue yet.

Uhh you guys did a great job with all your arts! Can't wait to see the results.

Wario Ware, New Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Metroid Prime 3, Metroid Other M (even though they RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up Samus), Super Smash Bros Brawl (got to the half finals in the Dutch Championships on Wolf, go me!). I'm missing quite a list right now. But since I have to go to work now I thought I'll just mention a few.

Wow, that's still a huge profit from that tonic. I'm excited now XD
I could really use that amount of ecto at the moment haha.
Thank you for the estimates everyone.

I've always been a gamer, I freakin' LOVE video games, ever since I was like 5, my first system was the original Playstation, ahh I remember the days, the countless hours of Spyro and Crash Bandicoot =P
I used to be a strictly console gamer, but then my boyfriend showed me Guild Wars and I can't get enough of the PC action!
I do enjoy games such as God of War II for the Playstation 2, the Ratchet and Clank series was fun too. I don't have anything other than my PS2 and my PC so I haven't gotten the chance to play Assassin's Creed, also lack of money at the moment in real life as well as in GW
My ex used to play Half Life Two and Portal all the time on the PC (this was a few years ago) but he never let me play them but once when I just went around killing people with a crowbar... so, I don't really know what they're like. XD
The Wii is weak sauce when it comes to gaming other than a few titles, I agree. For one, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles was pretty nifty. I also like Super Smash Bro's Brawl (woot, Bowser!) and the Twilight Princess. Played some of that Tomb Raider: Underworld one the other night too, but I only got so far before I had to leave.
I was actually disappointed in Mario Galaxy, it lacked so many qualities that its elders had that it was just a waste of time for me.

Super Smash Bros is so much fun. I always use Peach

I've been playing games since my parents got an NES for Christmas in 1988, I grew up on Mario and Zelda and Final Fantasy and the first thing I remember playing is Dragon Warrior (as Dragon Quest was originally known as in the US). I'm not really and never have been a big PC gamer, though. Guild Wars and the Sims are about it.
