When we send in the email to ANet for entry submission, are we supposed to get some kind of confirmation email back? I haven't heard from them and I wasn't sure if I should be sending them another email.

Unfortunately, there is no confirmation email, despite the community begging for one set up for years now.
You can only believe your entry arrived.

I'm always paranoid about attachments failing, so I include an image link in my email just in case.
Of course, that doesn't tell me whether or not they received it, but at least if they did and there was a problem with the attachment, they have my entry regardless.
Also, Minami or Perynne, if one of you has a chance, can you change what my entry is listed as in the first post? It's still a photomanip/digital illustration and the gallery is the same, but it's a stained glass window of Dwayna and Grenth instead of the propaganda posters. It's also finished
(just want to be sure that it doesn't get passed over when judging starts )

Sorry if you can't read the gallery type, photobucket shrinks the images. Turned mine in yesterday hopefully it got through.

Happy new year!!
Hey everyone, sorry for not being on much lately. The holidays are always real busy for me.
I was wondering though, skimming through the last couple pages, do we need to use the "THIS IS MY WINTERSDAY WORKSHOP ENTRY" Thing and re-post our finished piece? Or is it okay if we already were finished, because I do see that my listing was updated to say I am finished with my piece on the front of the thread (which is true, I am done and was long before now XD) Just curious because I see so many people posted it like that haha.
And I LOVE THAT RIT COSPLAY!!!! ♥
haha, everyone's art is mind-blowing, can't wait to see the results ^^
Anyone know when judging is done for here on the Guru? I tried to look for a date but I didn't see one anywhere. Also, I NEED to know exactly when that Workshop party will be, so that I can make sure that I can attend it
Hope that everyone had a great Wintersday and are having a Happy New Year ^^
--Sorry if I skipped over someone's reply to me or something from my previous ghostly appearance, I kind of just skimmed through the pages and wrote this quick to let you all know that I'm still alive
I gotta catch some Z's now, just got my two Wintersday hats on GW, they're amazing! In my opinion anyway... (horns ftw) haha, so anyways, g'night everyone hope to pop in sometime soon once more! =D

You don't necessarily have to use the entry header, people just like to use it to mark their last official and finished version of their entries, to make it easier for thread browsers to know it's the final version.
At least that's why I marked mine
Thanks for liking my cosplay! ^_^
Judging will begin once the official contest results have been announced, mostly because of the Wintersday Extraordinaire award.
Also because I need to get the judging form (which the judges will have to fill out) from Tzu, and she's on vacation now, hence not around any internet source.
I don't know anything about the party yet, Arghore and Tommy have taken it upon themselves to organize it, and I haven't heard from them. Everyone is busy with the holidays ^_^
I'll be updating the first post with party details once I know more.

Happy New Year to everyone! <3
Eee, prettyful entries. :3 Good luck to everyone with the official contest and the workshop. Now starts the long and impatient wait for winners to be announced...
I guess the time for the workshop party will be announced later too? It might be easier to have it once we know the workshop results, so that prizes can be handed out at the same time.
Then again, I think everyone is just so relieved to be done with their submissions that they'd love to party right away.

The official website says that the results will be announced on or around the 14th of January, so Workshop judging and the party will probably not happen until after that date.
Still waiting to hear from Arghore and Tommy.

Wow, Amazing entries from everyone here :O
Such a variety of talent hiding near the bottom of the Guru forums
Another year gone, and I didn't get round to even starting an entry for any of the art contests.
Maybe I'll get the time next time round
