Oh wow, so many amazing entries from everyone! This is going to be another tough workshop to judge.
@satomz: I agree with Verene, the music is a little too soft. Perhaps adjust the volume a little? Otherwise it's working ok. I love the flute playing in it, so lovely. <3
@Ninja Monk: Don't feel down... for a first digital artwork you've learned heaps. Your entry is very good too, definitely something to be proud of. I hope you'll continue to hang around Nolani now? I'd like to see more art from you.
EDIT:
Oh, and everyone who is entering, please can you double check your information on the first post? Just so I know that I've marked everyone who has finished on the list properly. There have been so many posts on the days I was gone and when I was sick that I'm not sure if I've managed to keep up with everything. :P

@Death ~ I love those bears, so cute
@Ninja ~ I love the colours and yeah the decorations are a nice touch.
@Verene ~ I hope you finish.
@Satomz ~ I can see the picture and hear the audio, it sounds ok to me. I cannot help with any technical stuff.
@Hairnet ~ awesome, their expressions are great. Is that a jingle yak?
Frustration ~ draw fast Hun, let’s see it
Magik ~ simply lovely
Gemini ~ love the picture, love the concept, but does that mean that you are not submitting the other?
Minami ~ Those are wonderful pics, I am still wondering how the bra piece stays up. How is your hip now?
Tommy ~ There is so much fun in that picture it always makes me smile.

There's a difference between being down on your work (bad) and being critical of it (good). And learning new things is always good!
Probably my last progress image, since I have work in an hour and won't be home until late tonight. Mostly done, but it feels like it's missing something, I think. Hrm.

The bra had straps. I photoshopped the straps out.
I had to, we simply couldn't find a strapless bra that would have fit our purpose and look good enough.
My hip is doing better, but the joint and bone is still grinding. Next time I'm at the doctor's for checkup, I'm gonna have to ask her to take a look at it.
I don't wanna be a 26 year old hip replacement surgery patient >_>

@ Verene I would suggest reworking the candles. It kind of looks like they are hovering over the snow and not sitting in it, and the flames should be altered so they are not identical. Also I think boosting the saturation of the picture would help.

Since the deadline is a few days away, Perynne and me distributed the prizes for the workshop! ^_^
Please take a look at the first post
The judging for the workshop will take place after the official results are announced, so we can tackle the Wintersday Extraordinaire category too, and it will also give time for Tzu to get back from her vacation and send me the judge questionnaire form
As for the Wintersday Workshop party, Arghore volunteered along with Tommy to set it up.
I sent a PM to Arghore asking about the details, when he PMs me back I'll let you guys know what he said (Or he will post here, I dunno ^_^)
I know the deadline is still a couple of days away, so GOGOGOGOGO everyone!!!
*cheers*

Ehehe, I've definitely been over thinking wintersday motives, I can't stop thinking about Grenth and dwayna's fighting with so many comical twists. @_@
@Perynne: Thank you ^^ I imagine they have different things each year and per person, and I's something one of them will enjoy and the other one won't. But it's funnier to imagine it to be small stuff since they do it every year, you can't have too much drama. Maybe Grenth bet that if he won, she'd massage his feet? ;P
@Eastern Magic: You mean the necromancer one (with the minions) and this one? I like those minions, and I like the necromancer. It's so much fun imagining what she'd do when someone isn't watching. The ones in the pic are level one and two, but I imagine she creates the highest leveled one and rides it like a horse, and pet and cuddle with it too :P
@Flying Ninja Monk: The face expression is stolen from the little troll I live with (the one who didn't like the first entry I did). I can't do the original face justice, it's just has so much ownage in it. ;P
@Aeronwen: Mayby I should clarify that I'm submitting the one with grenth and dwayna and the "Wintersday Snowplay" to the Workshop, But I could only submit one to official competition, and that's the dwayna and grenth one.

T-T finally doneeeeeee!!!!!! The audio volume issue should be better now.
@Aeonwen: no worries, I was mainly worried about the presentation itself. Things like volume and image really can't be confirmed unless the video is played on other people's computers, so even a little "it works" helps a lot.
@Verene & Perynne: I thought so, thanks for confirming.
@Flying Ninja Monk: Now that the visuals (and subtitles) are in place I hope it makes more sense.
@chrish: Another music entry . Geez, where have you been hiding *nudge*nudge*
Really though, I like how there's bunch of us musicians coming out of the shadows. Time for GW orchestra? (Kidding )

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the way it came out. The visuals could have been better quality, but considering the number of pictures I went through, I don't think it was too shabby for a music-main entry. I think I could have made instrumental/vocal performance quality a little better. But most of all, I can look at myself in the mirror and boast "Hey, I can make a video now!"

@satomz Hahahaha, I've been phailing at Photoshop for a few contests now =P
Btw, I love how you overlapped recordings; I kept wondering how I could make mine sound less empty xD

Thank you, Kiya, I tried those suggestions (and removed the candles from the one side) and it added just that extra bit that I think it was lacking.
And with that, I believe I'm all done! Out of time anyway, so I suppose I have no choice but to be.

So not exactly related to wintersday, but when/what is the next workshop going to be?
Considering the only regular official art contests are for Halloween and Wintersday, are there any guru-specific workshops done throughout the rest of the year?
Ive only ever done the last two and theyve been a lot of fun to participate in.
So basically; when is the next workshop going to be?

Tommy hosted a Canthan workshop to coincide with the Dragon Festival this year; I don't know if he's going to do it again though.

Great entries everyone! Verene, it turned out awesome in the end.
And for another workshop... I have to see how many interest there is, then we can see if I will host another one. I really liked last years theme, but we can pick another one aswell if we like. But I think discussing that during the party is an idea ^^
