Omwh, how so? Don't mind the effects and the font yet, was just to give myself an idea. But whats wrong with the sentence? I was thinking creating humm no that sounds like summoning. building humm... no we are not using hammers and wood or something So I thought making would be best. And I liked putting adventure in there. But any suggestions are welcome

Ahh great this sucks
My directX decided to flub on me totally, right in time for Wintersday >.> Plus i can't stop opening google and staring jealously at computers which won't lagg when i try to use eraser tool...
Oh well, i'm drawing a monkey to blow off some steam
@Tommy:Sorry, net sucks baaaaaaaaaaaaadly atm....i mean, i uninstalled GW (since someone had similar problems ot me just reinstalled it and it worked) without making a backup of the 4gig .DAT file....so now i reinstalled client...and i can't even open it!
Really i mean... "Downloading 6.1MB (4kb/s)"
It's really really getting on my nerves...i can only see the top half of "The Adventure of Making Tyria's Biggest Snowman"
I'll have to look at it another day );
Anywho...back to Monkey!
I want to make myself a new profile pic

I realize I'm just butting in here, but I'd go with something punchier.
"Making Tyria's biggest snowman"
"Making the greatest snowman"
"The tallest snowman"
"The tallest snowman ever"
"The largest snowman this side of the Shiverpeaks"
Biggest/greatest/tallest/largest/whatever

@Tommy Well, adventure doesn't really fit the picture does it? They aren't going on an adventure. It's more of a challenge. And the phrase isn't realy catchy. I'll post of some if I can think of some. :P

Yup, I agree that the title isn't the best possible. It sounds more like a random sentence, rather than a headline-sort of title. Pyrthas had some good suggestions for alternatives, but again, I think you'll have to think about it carefully. The border will work, but only if the text is awesome enough to make it work.
"Tyria's Biggest Snowman Adventure", "Tyria's Grandest Snowman - the Adventure" or even something like "Adventures in the Snow - Largest Snowman of Tyria".
.... I've never been too good with coming up with titles. XD
Edit: Like Hydralisk pointed out, challenge is a nice word too!

@Tommy: To put the cherry on the cupcake of my annoyance, all the retarded but possibly inspiring puns i wrote for your title didn't post *sniff*
Maybe even Guru detected how lame they are
But what i wanted to suggest something comedic, but can't think of anything even moderately funny atm )=
@Pyrthas: Don't worry you're not butting in...I assure you tommy appreciates it *pulls out knife* Don't you, Tommy? ANyway i think it'd be a bit ...plain, the way you wrote it. Perhaps add abit more? Like maybe...GWuinness World Book of Records: Largest Snowman Ever!
Edit: LOL tommy you should do a companion entry, with the title: The Bigger they are , the harder they fall, with a screaming red ele/monk running from an avalanche

Yeah, they are kind of plain. I was trying to go the other direction, too, but I couldn't figure out what to do. Maybe something like "The adventures of <name> and <name>, Tyria's <superlative> snow sculptors" would work.
Or focus on the elves. "The trials of blah blah blah"
Anyway, I think the real problem with the current text is that it's kind of repetitive and unengaging. "The adventure of the making of" keeps putting off the really interesting bit. "Tyria's biggest snowman adventure" fixes that, too.

Hmmm thanks for all the sugestions so far How about
'Tyria's greatest snowman ever made'
?
Thing is with that, the snowman isnt finished yet... x___x
@IH, my thought was that an adventure doesnt nececarily means going some place (though I'm not sure) and it sounds better then challenge imo
@Pyrthas, thank you for posting some interisting suggestions. I like the idea of going towards the elfs perhabs aswell, but then it leads away from the battle on the left.
@Flynimo, lol such companinon entry would be epic indeed xD Maybe if I have time, a small one next to it (so it's still one image) and then the monk, ele, elfs AND the grentches all running from the snowball chasing them But doubt I got time, got plenty of stuff to do >.>

@Tommy From Wikipedia: "An adventure is an activity that is perceived to involve risk, danger or exciting experiences." I don't really think making a Snowman will give you a kick. :P
You could do like...
''The Wintersday Challenge''
''The snowman challenge''
''Building a masterpiece''
''Snowman Was Snow''
''Avatar of Snow''
''There's Nothing to Snow!''
''Victory is Snowman!''
''Can't Snow This!''
''The Power is Snowman's!''
''Charm Snowman''
...or something.

I beg to differ... If we had enough snow here in Texas, I'd get a huge kick out of building a snowman!
Also, making the biggest snowman is bound to give you a kick.

I agree there, the word "adventure" doesn't really fit with Tommy's picture.
@Tommy: I'm super tired, so I can't come up with any good titles right now... but I think you got many good ones already.

@Minami, the costume looks very nice! But maybe you can cut out the background and put something more Ritualistish instead? Also, isn't it like, really cold outside in that costume? :x

The point is for the Ritualist be out in the snow, since this is the first time she sees snow.
This is only 1 picture out of the series, and I'm not posting them in any sort of order. On the other pics, the expressions and movements are very different.

I will be leaving tomorrow to visit my grandfather, and in the honoured tradition of nearly every senior citizen out there, he lacks a computer. I'll be back sometime on Thursday, so if any new entries/questions/stuff comes up in the meantime, I won't be able to deal with them for a few days.
I'll still be lurking around for the rest of today and a bit of tomorrow morning though.
@Minami: I love the photo, Minami! I like how crisp the colours are, and the background really works with it. I think it might actually need something more than just snow to tie it to Wintersday.... though perhaps the rest of the photos will help with that.
@IH: Pfft, I think building even a normal snowman is plenty adventurous. Lots of exciting experiences! We got more than enough snow here for it, but I'm lazy and make perhaps one each winter.
Also, going outside in a rit costume would be cold, but it's entirely bearable for 5-10 minutes or so (depending on how cold it is), as long as you're able to have a hot shower afterwards.
@Tommy's: I think it's all about the placement of the words. Sometimes, the english language can be so precise about little things like that.
'Tyria's greatest snowman ever made' sounds ok, but again it lacks punch. The "ever made" part at the end seems to hang loose and is more like an afterthought added on. 'The greatest ever snowman of Tyria' would be a bit better I think. Or even just 'The greatest snowman ever made'. But like you said, it's still being made, so that kind of makes the title redundant....
Eh, I think I really like using the word challenge in there somewhere, since it sounds like they're challenging themselves to make the greatest snowman ever but haven't accomplished it yet. Sort of like a quest, or even an adventure - something that's a challenge and they're determined to see it through (despite the fighting in the background).

Thanks Perynne ^_^
As for it being cold outside in that snow on the pic...
I wouldn't know ^_^ We took the pics around the beginning of November in Texas, in front of our garage door. No snow for a 1000 miles around us xD
The background and me fitting into it is the product of my mad photoshop skillz.
(Actually, my first try at photo manipulation).

Awesome ~ I did not realise it was photoshopped. Love the body paint, are all your family artistic?
Pery ~ Hehe, I know what you mean. I bought my mum a pc and persuaded her to get broadband (so she could stay in touch with her grandkids) of course she hardly ever uses it but it does come in handy when we stay with her ^^
I cannot think of anything better than the suggestions Tommy already has, it's hard getting it right.
