As for the workshop, I've completed my project around the beginning of November (before all the above happened), so I'll post the progress pictures (and the finished pics) anyways.
Amazing works so far everyone, I do enjoy looking at your pictures and progresses, keep it up!
I still don't know when I'll be "totally" back, obviously. I wish you all good luck in advance!

Geees, glad everything turned out well! Had never expected something like this, when you told you wouldn't be around for a while. Very glad to hear he's recovering, wish him all the best from us!

all right, here goes.
I like to do "what-if"s. And while I was sitting there, thinking about what I could do, it struck me that centuries of fighting between two powerful, opposing forces must work up quite a lot of UST [unresolved sexual tension]
don't worry, it's not nsfw XD
also... because I was travelling home yesterday, I had quite a lot of off-time (aka waiting around for the next bit of public transport to get from A to B), I progressed a bit beyond the initial sketch. and forgot to do development screenshots. AH WELL >.<
the awesome landscape thumbnails are for background colour insp.

I don't suppose you'd happen to have links to larger versions of those?

@Minami
Its good to hear that everything is alright now on your end. We had to go through the same thing with our grandpa, but it was a quadrouple by-pass. O.o Somehow it had gone unoticed for 80 years, but it all got resolved in the end He was out playing tennis (pretty much all he ever does. . xD)in a month or so.

@Minami: I'm glad to hear that he's recovering. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy his music for years to come yet! Just take your time, support him in any way you can, and come back when everything has completely settled.
I wish you two peaceful holidays.
@Xandra: Yes, they're jingle bells. I was trying to make her armor look more Wintersday-ish, so I figured a few bells would be a nice addition. I'll probably draw a bell on her ribbon too.
@Morag: Wow, that's looking really nice. I love alternate versions of characters, or "what-if" stories. Brilliant idea!
@Ninja Monk: Eh, who says you have to shade? Just get the base colours on first, and with the amount of detail you got, you could go for simpler shading and it'd still look good.

@Morag: Haha, love the scenario!
@Minami: Glad to hear the surgery went well.
@Ninja Monk: Imo, the placement of the snowman's head kinda looks a little odd (like it's behind his body or something), but other than that, it looks great so far!

@Minami- Holy crap you're married to King?! (sorry had to get that outta my system) I hope everything goes well, really do. Sorry you've had to deal with such a yuck situation. On the other hand this procedure is pretty much routine now, so I hope you take some comfort in that. I'm horrible with conveying my feelings but I truely hope things look up for you. <3
@Pery- Glad to see you've gotten some time to work on your entry I love the way you draw vabbian armor <3
@Nemesis- Looks great!!! Good luck!
@Morag- Neat concept but I agree...more NSFW!!! lol (kidding) I cant wait to see more, your style is so unique. I love it
@Tommy- I kind of thought thats what she was doing (standing on something). But I guess I'll have to see when the highlights/shading are on, cuz I still feel like it looks a lil unnatural. Everything looks promising
Havent had much time myself for posting anything (still racking my brain for a background...) May just go with something entirely different. I fear the background may be the drawings undoing. Good job guys

stones are not finished yet, just dropped some colour on it, so I won't forget. I hope her legs are a bit better now Frostkisses, though they still look a bit odd, but don't really know how to fix it.. Monk is as good as finished, bit darken the skin tone a bit though the very light colour has its charms too. well.. onto the elementalist :3
When the ele is finished aswell I'll upload a wip with the real size its ment for, because photobucket resizes it everytime. Final version will be some bigger, sneak peak next wip :3

Thank you all for the good wishes, I really appreciate it.
I could talk about what it feels like to be in this situation, but I rather not.
We're home now, and are doing a lot to be healthy. I'm learning to cook salt free and low fat foods, hope the salmon will turn out good tonight
My workshop progress pic.... Here is the first one...
Polymer clay and a dirty unused pan
Like I said, all the pics are done, I'll post them whenever.
If you have CC on the progress pics, by all means please share it, so I'll know what to improve on next time (if I do this again).
I know that accurateness will be brought up, so I just wanted to say that I didn't try to go for complete accuracy, I had to make do with what was available in shops and at home. The project had to be completed in an extremely short time.

Another progress pic.
Wooden beads are threaded onto leather strips. One will be part of the head dress, the others go on the skirt.
