Oh and note to perynne, I'm mainly redoing my lineart because when i increased the size of the image/canvas, the lines became very fuzzy and undistinguished (these flaws were present prior to the expansion, just unseeable without copious zooming in >.>) so That's why...
Besides, lineart is just so fun!

Remember Monk that you can always expand to colour, and make it smaller again later. From what I understand you only want to enlarge your lineart because its too small to colour. Then set the image at 300 or 400dpi (which enlarges the image quite some ^^), colour it and when its done, then make the canvas smaller again. All the images I upload here, are painted a lot bigger.

Oh gee, now I'm blushing. XD Just here to help, no need to specifically thank me. See? It even says so in text under my nick!
I think you should do the slight bulge in your lineart. If you're not planning on colouring over the lineart in any other parts, it'll look funny if the gold decorations pop out over the lineart in just that one part. It's important to keep the drawing looking somewhat uniform, so if you want to have a prominent lineart, then keep showing it for every part.
If you are planning on colouring a little over the lines, or doing highlights over the lines in other places, then it won't look so bad if you add the bulges later.

Update...sorta.
*siiiigh* So I was working on the background for the picture, adding snow and blizzard movement, working on Grenth's positioning to make him more aggressive looking, flying snowballs, more detailing, and.... Photoshop crashes! :C Two hours lost because I'm an idiot and forgot to ssaaaaave.
SO, now that I feel completely defeated I have decided it's a good time to evaluate and adjust my piece. I wasn't liking the background and composition and it wasn't feeling wintersday. I managed to save the repositioning of Grenth which I like, and I'm thinking of making them in wintersday versions of their outfits. If not I will just make a background image in their normal colors lol. Or maybe something new all together. I'm feeling very lost on this one. T_T

Oh wow Arya, that looks amazing! I love the idea of dressing them up in alternative outfits, and the whole positioning makes me think of some kind of "Wintersday Super Heroes" type thing. Yes, this is definitely more Wintersday and really has some humour thrown into the mix. I like!
I can totally relate with Photoshop crashing.... I've been working on my parents' Christmas present, and because the computer I'm using is not meant for anything very complicated, Photoshop will crash if I use more than five layers, or duplicate a layer then try to apply a filter to it, or even use the wrong kind of brush, or just because it likes to see me rage. :/ So I have to be very, very careful, and not work in the huge size I'd prefer.

Hehe Awesome Arya, the costumes add so much to the drawing. it's so vibrant, and much more wintersday-ish ;D Without them, the old one just looked, although amazingly beautiful, very lack of Winter Oh and i just thought, something you may want to play around with...since you're adding the red, i think Dwayna's armour might look okay in gold though that's just me imagining it, you'd have to change it yourself to see =o just a suggestion! Keep up the epicness.
Ok i'm giving a small preview from my literature Well it's only a little bit of the Snowmens' awful singing
Edit: I apologize for any offence caused with earlier lyrics Changed the lyrics slightly till I can find something better suited Thanks to aeronwen for the Spoiler code

@Ninja ~ umm what (short) name do you prefer?
type [*spoil] and [*/spoil] on either side, without the *
I know it makes a nice rhyme, and kids commonly do it but I am uncomfortable with the use of 'gay' as a term of abuse. Looking forward to reading the rest of it.
@ Arya ~ forgetting to save ^^ thats where my life goes. I like the Wintersday outfits are very much.
[QUOTE=Nemesis-of-the-Gods;5327281]
Also I had a question, what if we already have all of the Wedding costume pack purchased? Would we get to choose a different prize if that one came with what we won if we did win? Just a question.
QUOTE]
I think, when Tzu gets some time, the prizes listed will be allocated to a category. If you win a prize you cannot use/do not want then it is up to you to give it away (offer it to the next workshop) or whatever but the prizes can’t be reallocated. Maybe there will be a different way of distributing prizes this year but I cannot think one.
Your pic just gets more awesome each update.
Magik ~ beautiful as ever

I think she ment how the hell we are supposed to call you Flying Ninja Monk, Ninja, Ninja Monk, monk etc etc.
And Arya, I really like the idea of giving them a christmas-like outfit, it indeed does fit the contest better ^^

Just to make this clear for myself but one can take part in this contest with the same art he/she is going to send to the official Guild Wars Wintersday-contest, right? If so then I'll be happy to join this happy-dee contest. I'll upload progress archive this weekend when I get to use scanner. Or maybe earlier this week. We'll see.
Well good luck to any other contestants!

Yes, the whole point of this Workshop is that you make something for the official Wintersday contest. In this Workshop, you can get suggestions, critique and other comments on your work, and we try to help you out to make your entry the best possible it can be.
@Flying Monk: Yeah, the lyric wasn't the best it could be. I kind of do understand what you were going for there since it's a common derogatory term used by schoolkids, but still, it's not suitable for a proper entry and there are many better words out there for that part.
And eep... Noooo! Take this candycane instead! *gives a candycane* Much more crunchy and tasty. :P

Thank you for the fast answer.
Ah I see now. Sorry for my ignorance. My first time I'm going to try to attend to the official Wintersday art-contest and when I saw this topic I thought "Why not attend to that contest as well?". Well oughta get this thing rolling.

Heh, when I first made the lyrics, the snowmen were supposed to seem crude and childish, but if I want to make it as if it's the general version in the world where Dwayna is Dwayna Claus (As where there is no Santa Claus or Rudolph, there is no 'original song' for them to parodize crudely is there?) So i'll perfect it some and bring it back
Erm i have a small question, photoshop related, if anyone could help me :
I was doing the lineart, and i had finished nearly the whole of Dwayna's legs before i noticed i had done it with a brush that had the Wet Edge setting on. is there any clean way to make it normal? (i.e. remove the see-through-ish ness without redoing lineart, going over with brush...i tried selecting but it gives a fuzzy outline. Feather maybe? Idk)

Basically I spent the first half of the day at normal high school classes, english, math, science, etc, then in the afternoon we were bussed to the college which had students from maybe 5-8 local high schools come. They offered programs in everything from carpentry and masonry to business management, cosmotology, and culinary.
I was enrolled in the Advertising Design program so I spent 2.5 years there learning a lot about drawing techniques, color management, composition, how to use programs like Illustrator, Quark, InDesign, etc. I graduated high school with a certificate in Advertising design and another certificate in retail management.
Right now I'm a college student. I'm at the end of my 2nd year worth of classes and I'm enrolled at Art Institute taking the Media Arts & Animation program. I'm doing a lot of 2D cartoon animations right now and some intro level 3D modeling and animation work. It's exciting stuff!
In my spare time I am working on actually writing the story and creating art for my own original MMO world. Maybe in 7-8 years I'll have my own MMO and hold art contests.

Hey, I'm also an AI student! Graphic Design for me, though. I actually don't like it much; I started last year when I was 23 and I've been doing GD stuff since long before graduated high school. So I kind of haven't learned anything that I didn't teach myself to do years and years ago (when it came to Image Manipulation, I was teaching the teacher shortcuts...sigh), and they won't let me skip any classes, and so I really feel that I'm wasting my time and money there.
I feel you on losing work I'm always forgetting to save constantly and sometimes Photoshop will crash and there goes all your work. I do like the reworked, piece, though, Looks nice

@ Varene ~ It is the duty of the student
Without exception to be prudent
If smarter than the teacher, tact
demands that she conceal the fact

Maybe your college wil take you on as a teacher!
@ Magik ~ she is lovely but I am a little disturbed by her gloves having a perfect manicure, I am quite old-fashioned I know but can you explain that to me?

Halfway first Elf, but now computer has run slow, causing terrible irritation in my head, so enough for now I'll finish him tomorrow I hope. Not sure yet if I want him to look kind of happy or grim.
