Hey again everyone! I'd definitely like to sign up and I'll give more details in a few days. It's my birthday tomorrow and I'm still in school so busy busy! Does anyone know if Arena Net is having an official contest? I know they did last year but the page wasn't directly linked in their contests so I'm not sure if the 2010 one is showing.

Thanks for all the comments on mine! Glad to hear I'm going in the right direction.
@Eastern Magik: Thanks for the link. That's a really good cloud tutorial, I shall have to put it to good use.
@Tommy's: Um, yeah, definitely either have her legs on one side of the sleigh, or put the polar bear there. Not sure if Anet gives extra points for panty flashes. I like how the elf looks so far, he's really too cool for words.
And yaaaaay! Glad to see you decided to do something for this after all!
Leia <3 And yeah, I think my ele's hair is less of a bagel head, since the bagel is behind her head, not on the sides so much.
@Death By An Arrow: Thanks! I'll keep tweaking the background and especially the snow. Yeah, the snow does look a little flat.... I'll try to get more of a three-dimensional feel to it next time I sketch (if I remember ).
@GeminiJuSa: Not sure yet if I'll put a vintage tweak on it. It's a good idea though, and I'll definitely consider it. Earlier I was sorta thinking that it looks a bit like an old poster anyway... something from the fifties or the sixties. But so far it's been purely accidental.
@AryaBladedancer: Welcome to the contest! Glad to see you are entering too.

Thank you for the replys all Yeah I better make her sit sidewards, already made a scetchie for that, but thought this would be more playful. It won't be a pantyflash since she will be wearing norn armor pants (in red, for a nice christmas outfit ) What about her legs up in the air perhabs? I want it too look like she's having fun, and not tooo elegant, a bit dorky actually
And yes the elf is pulling the sled. The poor little man. I'm planning to put Rudolf on the sled too, so it will be even heavier Perhabs make him a bit more sunk into the snow.
@ Charlie: I was planning on doing it quite realistic. I want to give the elf a very skinny accentuated face, a bit like this one I drew quite some time ago. The scetch is a bit cartoonish I agree. But depending on how much time I have I will put more or less realism in there. The polarbear will be very cudly though, as long as it won't contrast too much.

Well, if she has pants, then I think it would be ok for her to sit in the sleigh with her legs more open. Also, if you want to make her look playful, the idea of drawing her legs partly in the air is a good one. A big, big smile and lots of movement should help to make it playful. She could even have one of her hands up in the air waving or something.

If I'm on a sled with my legs in the air, and I start waiving, I fall But I guess thats just me! xD Though the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of her legs in the air. and then still put the polarbear in front of her, need to figure out the perspective a bit more, I really suck at that. Also think then perhabs I need to work on a bigger canvas, hard to draw a good smile in such small canvas.
Any ideas for a cool sled btw? if I want to put a polarbear, a human and a reindeer on it, it should be quite big I guess :P

Santa sled! Just google what sleds Santa uses, and you ought to get a nice, big, difficult-to-pull one.
Also, it's possible to wave hands and legs in the air (with one hand holding on), if you're going slow enough. Or really, really, really fast.

You mean this one? But I agree a Santa sled will be badass big and easier to sit in, though it removes some of the playful factor. Its kinda inspired by the fun I used to(ok I'll admit it, i still do ) have sitting on such sled and falling off or making sure my sister did And we always sat on those normal wooden sleds.

LOL XD
Well, you could always just draw a normal wooden sled, and make it really long so that there is room for everyone. I can't really think of other sled-types that would allow you to wave your legs up in the air....

Pery - can I just say that I love that your ele is not unrealistically thin like in the game? ^^;
Also, since Star Wars was brought up...and yes, that ele's hair is slightly Leia-ish...I love Star Wars My favorite Leia outfit is this one...I am going to make it some day.
Death - eeee that little bear is so cute!
And I don't quite think that you can ride a sled sidesaddle XD Maybe kneeling, though! I'm pretty sure there's no graceful way to go sledding.

Verene, thanks! I prefer drawing women with proper curves and softness, so it's good to hear that I've succeeded. Also, my ele is really around 35 years old in the game, and a very typical aristocratic female who doesn't do huge amounts of workout, so she would have a little more "padding". My skills aren't good enough to draw her realistically like that, so I figured I'd go for something like this.

yay random miku! so damn cute
lol
i love the colors you picked for the aurora!
my suggestions would be to not have them coming out of the ground..so to speak. maybe more left to right instead of top to bottom? like this
little more aesthetically pleasing to my eye.. but that could also be just me?
