Well unfortunately the in-game method won't work anymore, as I no longer actually run texmod myself, so i cannot extract them.

Would love to get this done for my armour combo but I'm a complete texmod newbie. Could anyone point me towards a guide or some info on how to extract the armour files?
Also once the Topazing has been done do you always have to texmod running along side GW to make this work?

Yeh you need TexMod on to see your altered textures. Technically GW runs through it.

1.) To extract it you need to run Texmod in "Logging Mode" and use certain keys to scroll between textures, when the texture turns green, press your selected logging key to get the texture file.
2.) Yes you would need to run the mod file that has the textures you want visible every time.
I cannot remember the buttons etc. for scrolling because I stopped running texmod a while back.

Actually the settings for Topaz all depend on the armor and detailing, and I use some other filters as well from time to time, etc.
But i won't be able to do anything else in PS now because the color management is giving me issues and saving all files darker than they show on screen which is becoming a real problem.

Damn. Well thanks for replying.
as a general question, anyone else know how to do it? :P i'd like my picture to be of the highest quality and sharpening the details seems to have made a vast improvement to everyone elses' characters.

Right its done, I normally spend AGES tweaking though - so it might not be that good. Bloody annoying to not be able to see it...

well thank you both so much for taking the time to try it... screen shot of what happened can be found at : http://senduit.com/9ba5fd
unfortunately that doesn't look right, and it looks like it happened for both of them. Why i am not sure. I figure i'm doing something wrong with texmod, but i just replaced the original with the copy and packaged it :/ So i'm not sure.
If you could tell me the how you used topaz vivacity then perhaps i could try that? otherwise i ain't sure :/
thank you again for trying

use .bmp next time, that is caused by your alpha channels, you won't have that issue if extract as .bmp and make the changes.

Okays thanks. Reckon you could tell me the kind of settings you used? Do you just play around with it til it looks right or try something for all and then adjust it from there?
Sorry to be so much trouble :/

it all depends on the armor, so just mess around with it until you get something you like.
