Painting for GW 2 tips
I dont really need more money in GWS but i'd like to do the odd painting so i'm painting for GW 2 tips so i can be lazy and dont have to farm for my trading startup capital when the time comes lol.
i'm going to be painting them slow.... and paint the ones that inspire me..
i sometimes make bad jokes when im painting so.... if u mind that prolly not a good idea.
As this is for tips i am under no obligation to anyone to complete at a certain time or whatever.. and will be painting them in a way that i enjoy.
If i paint ur char i would u like u to have a good time too so i will be in communication with you during the process.
so go ahead and post ur GW 1 char's bio if ur interested. If your character doesnt have a personality i'll make something up.
PS: closing the thread for now until these are done will take quite some time :P~~~~ Q stops at Ravenhawk so if u post after her... next round.

I am still in need of art for my para, monk, ele, rit and dervish. All of their bio's (excluding monk's and rit's cuz I'm lazy and have yet to type them out) can be found here. If one interests you, let me know and I'll give you reference pictures.
Edit: Paragon - wings are mandatory, and preferrably of a light color. No preference of weaponry. Modifications to outfit more than welcomed. Monk - The hat must stay! WM symbols should be replaced with this design (this holds a piece of his story). Elementalist - He's a darker nature than the two above, story explains. Ritualist - A brief summary of his story since I haven't written his bio out: He's a bookworm among bookworms and is willing to do anything (even betraying his "friends") in order to get more knowledge and document it in his family's library (which exists south of Durheim Archives). While in the Domain of Secrets, he found an ancient spell that gave him longevity and a seemingly very strong resilience. Dervish - no comment
Will replace with clean reference shots when I get time.

You drive a hard bargain mister. I don't have clean ref pictures (cropped dye preview window shots) atm, so I just took some quick ones. Once I sleep and get back from my saturday class, I'll get some clean ref pics for you. Earlier post updated.
your arts are too good to resist, Hoodie, even for me ..
at risk of indenturing myself before GW2 has even been released, I'd love to see your take on this concept:
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
The Killing Floor is not actually a floor - it refers to the centre of a derelict hangar (known as The Slaughter Haus), which is strung with chains, wires and suspended beams.
Walkways line the walls high above, and serve as observation points where spectators can bet on the outcomes.
The bottom is strewn with sharp debris, which ensures that anyone not killed by a fall, does not escape unscathed.
The Slaughter Haus is used by the underworld where Alacrity dwells, as an unofficial arena.
and The Killing Floor is where it happens ..
The duels actually take place many metres up, on the wires and girders, so successful combatants need to be more like tightrope walkers and trapeze artists.
A lithe and nimble acrobat, like Alacrity, is in her element.
Thick-necked musclebound brutes would have no chance up there, as any fall will almost certainly result in injury or death from the rusting & jagged scrap littering the bottom, if not from the fall itself.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
You can approach this in numerous ways and infinite angles ~
Naturally, Alacrity is in there, somewhere, and preferably interacting with the environment in some way ..
tho she might only be distinguished as a blur of blonde/purple&tan, depending on your scale.
play with her costume as you like, it doesn't need to be so grungy, but by necessity it does need to be skimpy, to maximize Alacrity's acrobatic potential ~ there's a reason for everything
(well you could just dress her in a bodysuit ..)
and no daggers required, Alacrity will need her hands free, to swing - and those Exotic armspikes look lethal enough.
the most obvious scenario is an encounter with some other combatant ..
but let's go past the obvious.
Other ideas:
- she might be perched precariously, deep in thought or observation
- or gesturing to us, invitingly
- looking furtive/nonchalant
- traversing wires above like a tightrope walker
- performing some kind of acrobatics, as if freerunning
- injured/defeated, and falling, trailing blood
- a view from the bottom, so the blood-spattered scrap is in the foreground, and a victorious Alacrity prancing far above.

@ Ravenhawk i pick Ran...... might change my mind but thats my choice so far.
Im doing Ran next.... Ravenhawk whats ur IGN.... i need to meet ur character. If you have the norn armor set for Ran it wud be great. I think that armor would suit the setting i have in mind.

I PM'ed you the details. Timezone might be an issue though (In US Central time I think that's GMT -6) but I got no work this Friday so I can be online whenever during that day.

Okay (I only got 1 armor but am working on Obsidian which I would honestly prefer art of, too bad I don't got. ).
hoodie is being very lenient to you, Konig~!
he made Alacrity quest for Obsidian (something she never intended to do) before he'd paint the last portrait he did for her
