It is indeed a fine line, but non the less legal as long as it isn't for profit. I would only mind if there was a mass production or if someone was selling for profit, but since I can't make plushies myself, I'd allow it. Koreena isn't selling for commercial or massproductive profit.
And to use the comic reference; there are sooo many creating fan art and them sell the prints at conventions or online, for pure profit. And it's legal because they drew the pic.
I'd say the biggest copyright or IP infringement would be the skill jewelry as I don't know if koreena painted it herself or not.
I'd say that even if koreena took a small worker's fee it still wouldn't cover all the time and effort she put into making the plushie, thus she's technically loosing money on making it.
Personally I think it's a very good idea to write clearly visable thet the original characters are copyrighted to NcSoft(?) and that it's FanArt. But You can't "market" the plushies or lable them as Guild wars plushies, then it seems like a ripoff.

Or I could just wait 95-125 years and the whole point could become moot.

Haha, talk about retro! XD
You could ask extra for them, since they'd be fan creations of a long-forgotten game.

Nice! I wish I had gotten a bracelet now...
My keychain (Vow of Silence FTW!) is being used for my work keys right now I've also a Cry of Frustration keychain I need to send to my boyfriend (he loves that skill far too much) and a sparkly Celestial Summon Stone necklace
(they arrived a few days ago, Koreena, and they are awesome. Thank you! )

I'm glad you like them. :-) The summoning stones are just way too fun to make. I am going to make another batch next week and use them for ornaments on our tree. :-D
Just a reminder that US and Canada people have a chance to win a Jingle Moa plush over in the Community Events Section (there is one available on GW2G also) and I will be donating the Festive Fungal Wallow into the Workshop. That's THREE chances for a free plushie this Wintersday!

But its a bummer to hear that you cannot make anymore GW items.. should have asked you for a mini moa plushie earlier (and those icon keychains rock too)

Didn't quite turn out as well as I hoped, but ok for a first attempt. Gives me ideas for changing materials and technique.

Oooh, I'm actually interested in a book jaket like that! For a sketch-book. I think it'd be awesomely inspiring! How tough is it? Can it withstand being carried around a lot?

This one wouldn't be very durable at all. I was just messing around with materials already in the house. I wish I knew leather working. *dreaming of all sorts of skills and materials I don't have... yet* Some day....

If you manage to make it durable, I'd be the first one to order! I'm a person of need for practical things, before shelf ornaments even though they're pretty, but the practical things are mostly ugly.

you could still make and give the plushies and such away...all you need to do is charge for the shipping and 'handling' .....lots of artists do this to get around 'the law'.....or as others have pointed out have the one who wishes to have the item made for them buy the fabric and supplies and ship it to you with a postage paid return label. You make the item, put in said box, take to mailing place---you have not charged for your services or the fabric purchased. (yeah was an artist waaaaaaaaaaaaay back too)
but yeah that stuff is great and since THEY wont do anything official for those of us who collect things (did I mention my 5000+ stuffed toy collection--and yes those pudding guys are available from some japanese websites)......
hope things work out so that you can continue your efforts.

I can imagine that little guy being kind of creepy during the night. That doesn't stop him from being awesome though.
He's casting spectral agony into my soul.

Its kind of creepy during the day too. My desk is angled in the next room that if I turn my head a bit to the right I can see it peeking past the door at me.
