I would guess that the images of the skills are printed, placed on the metal, then the clear resin is applied over it.
Of course, only KiyaKoreena could confirm this

I've gotta try that sometime. I know nothing about jewelry making but I can see endless possibilities for gifts with resin jewelry! Thanks Kiya for bringing it to my attention. =)

I meant the type of paper Kiya used, was it Kodak or some sort of photo paper, just regular paper? The image is usually sealed with a clear drying glue to the metal pedant, along with a clear coat over the top of the image to prevent the color bleeding into the resin.

Polymer clay "summoning stones" with sparkle filled resin centers. I'm not sure how to go about making iridescent centers yet so sparkle filled will have to do for now. Each stone is about 25-27 mm across.
Edit: Blah, realized I think I have what I need to make iridescent centers, was sitting on my desk under a pile of papers. >.< Next time I do a batch of casting I will test it out.

Wow! These are really amazing! I wondered why I hadn't seen you doing this before, then I was looking through your gallery and realized you had made the obby Derv and obby Necro armor costumes way back, those were really great.
It's sad that I'm not into GW much nowadays, but I'm still trying to figure out what I may be able to order from you! Keep it up, those are really great.

The moa is so cute. <3 And I really like your previous skillbar bracelets, I wish I had the money to buy one.
Thanks for posting photos of your projects here, they're always a pleasure to see!

Update: No more GW item commissions, sorry everyone. I tried asking permission (because even though some companies tolerate fan art works it is still technically intellectual property infringement when you don't ask and get approval) but I was denied. So even though they do not make official plushies/jewelry (and custom bracelets when there is such a huge pool of skills to choose from will NEVER happen) they will not allow fan creations to be sold . I could make them and give them away, but no selling.
Though technically my jingle chick is my own creation since they are not found in game.

I was already wondering if you were actually allowed to sell them. I saw it coming. Your Jingle Moa is a modified Black Moa Chick, so I don't know if you can sell that one.

Gah, that is a sad thing to hear. I'm sure you could have made lots of money off of those bracelets and what not. Might make a good reward for the workshop though!

I just wanted to make some for people that wanted it and get comped for my time and materials. *shrugs* And I guess that leaves me with either giving away my works or eventually throwing them in the trash. I love making plushies and other items but I don't really need all these in my house and I don't have a magical credit card to fund it all anyhow. >.<
Was thinking about donating something for this workshop too. Have a few spare summoning stones from that little experiment.

Kiya,
I read about Easyjet not getting permission for a flight once, but they had already sold the seats. What they they did was have the passengers turn up anyway and refunded their money, in cash, as the passengers entered the plane. As the passengers had not paid it solved some legal nicety. During the flight Stelios went through the plane with a bucket and asked for donations (remeber the passengers had just had their refund so they had the full amount in cash in their pockets) most felt the moral pressure and handed it all over.
So if you were to give the bracelets you had made already, and the recipients made a voluntary donation back to you, it would be OK. You would have to trust the people concerned though.

Sent an email to the CR's who asked the lawyer who said "...we cannot give permission or approval for you to create and sell merchandise based upon the Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2 intellectual properties."
Like all fan art it comes down to is if the IP holder going to exercise their right to stop fans from making and selling fan art. Is it really worth the thousands of dollars in lawyer fees to take someone to court who just made enough from their sale to go out to Waffle House for dinner? Seems overkill but is their legal right to do so. They need to protect their investments but they also have the ability to tell a little fan artist "You are such a small fry and are making things we have no plans to ever do. Don't worry, we won't sue you over it as long as you keep it unofficial and small scale". (That is one of the points I asked about, but didn't get a reply on.) I could gift people plushies and they could gift me money but I've kind of drawn attention to myself by asking permission and right now I am rather paranoid. >.< I earned that tinfoil hat on my dA I tell ya!
Finally watched How To Train Your Dragon. My husband said I can't make a 5 foot plushie Toothless. Didn't say anything about 3'-4' one though.
