I wish I had 10-20 kilo's more weight, i'd change those into more muscles right away, it's like I burn fat really fast. But idk tbh.

Guys, which one should I make: Monk Roughspun or Monk Woven? Both would be totally easy, and adorable, and I need a monk costume to film a Guild Wars skit I wrote.

Elite Woven.
Roughspun would be easier to match fabrics for.

Elite woven DOES have henna, but...
Yeah, roughspun wouldn't be more difficult, it would just take more time/fabric to sew.
Wai no regular woven? D:

I actually think regular Woven is cuter than the elite set, but then again I'm fond of armor sets with lots of dyeble areas.
Woven!

I'd have to do some bead-work on elite woven. xD
I think woven would look nice as well.

I think woven's way cuter than roughspun (that's ascalon, right?) :P That'd be so cute to see in a cosplay! I actually wanted to do elite woven for halloween last year, but then I looked closer, and was like, there's no way I'm doing henna on myself.
Just looking at all the armor sets right now, I'd think monk elite luxon would be the hardest to do O_O although elite canthan looks like it'd be super tricky to do, too D:

I actually bought some corduroy (SP?) a while back to make an Elite Kurzick Monk jacket, but I failed epically. I think it would make a really cute material to use for Woven.
omg I have a Joanns coupon, this is so happening.

As mentioned I do some cosplay every now and then. Much less than I'd like, but I've had time to do 4 GW cosplays in the past; Eir, Ritualist, Jora and Dwayna.
Working on Shiro and Vizu, though they probably won't be finished before the autumn, they're kinda low priority compared to some other projects...
I heartily support Elite Woven cosplay, that armour is so cute! ^^
There's a whole bunch of absolutely epic GW cosplay out there, here's a few for inspiration:
Minami should post her Rit as well!
EDIT: guys, it's "sew".

Hehe, Cailin, I see that you put Songstress Yuna as one of your dream costumes. Go for it! It's actually very simple, if not tedious if you go all accurate on it. I did Lenne ages ago, when my hair was still long (right around when the game came out).

And then one I made for my sister (I can't find a good picture of her White Mage Rikku costume I made sadly)

Aaaaand of course I cannot show off cosplay without showing off our skit that won us an award. Sadly the audio isn't too great, because the microphones on stage weren't working properly. Good thing we pre-recorded the singing. Best part? Looking in the audience and seeing Scott McNeil singing and clapping along, and then seeing him after the masquerade (out of costume) and having him recognize us and tell us how awesome it was and hang out with us XD That's my little sister as Ed in the video, btw.

Ohhhh my god you're so cute. xD
Where you in the skit too?
I was thinking about changing the lyrics of "Mrs. Murder" by AFI to "Mrs. Mesmer" and making a GW-music-video out of it. :P It would be so silly.

You know what would be cool, have a couple of GW cosplayers. Make a movie with them in the GW world. I would totally do that (the directing part that is).
Also, how about the end-eotn female monk armor? That one is my favorite monk armor.

Yeah, I was Paine in the skit as well ^^ Thanks! I love cosplaying, but I just don't have much time or money to dedicate to it anymore, Barriss was the last costume I've made and that was a few years ago.
I do have some pretty awesome/huge cosplay plans that should probably be done with next year! My fiance and I are huge, huge Assassin's Creed fans, especially AC2 and Brotherhood. So I plan on making Caterina Sforza's AC2 costume for myself, and Ezio's master assassin armor for him.
Haha, that'd be cute! Should do it ^^

@Infested Hydralisk: Everyone in my skit is sharing acting and filming roles, and they're helping me revise the script as well.
Like I said. Joanns coupon. I'ma go there toooo-day. And the Woven dress is really cute and simple. It shouldn't take long to sew at all.
There is much silliness in this skit and I really hope so share it with you all super soon.
As well as some photos of this monk cosplay.

Ok, now I am REALLY in the mood to make a GW trailer with GW cosplayers.
I have always enjoyed making movies. These are probably my most succesful ones.
Corruption Ep1
Corruption Ep2 (Tzu will probably reconize the soundtracks used in it lol.)
Trailer Contest Entry
One of my video's has also been mentioned by the great Jeff Grubb himself as an April Fools joke. ;3
@Tzu, yeah maybe after a convention. Film at some place with a green screen. And I can make it look awesome. Will probably look more realistic too in the GW 2 world. <3

Hehe, thanks Tzu ^^ And yes, cosplaylab for the win I've been on there for nearly a decade now, I feel so old.
And now, thanks to being a complete nerd and this making me really miss cosplaying and there being a convention next month that I'm going to (well, staffing at, but same difference)...I may be sketching up a design for a Sylvari Mesmer costume I'm going to make...going to combine elements of Mesmer Deldrimor, Elite Kurzick, and Ranger Elite Luxon. Trust me, it's not as random of a combination as it sounds, and I have a very clear picture in my mind of what I want to do

Cosplay is something I find fascinating but utterly out of my league xD
For starters, I'm probably too short to cosplay anything other than a monk. I also have a pretty big dislike of showing skin or using body paint, which further rules out a couple outfits that I like. And last but not least quality is a big deal to me D: I'm not going to even attempt a Dervish outfit (for example) if I know the end result is going to look like I took a big piece of fabric and wrapped it in a cylinder around my waist. XD I have zero tailoring skill.
Having said that though if I were able to get the resources and direction needed to make a legit looking (movie quality) cosplay I would definitely give it a try. I would most likely end up doing 15k Kurz sin, Ranger 15k studded/Obby, or my necro's armor mix of 1k Cabal and 1k Kurz.

I don't think people care about height when it comes to cosplay. And if they do, I'm too tall to cosplay anything but a norn.
Which I'd need some tattoos for...
And if I ever cosplay as a norn, those tattoos are totally going to be permanent. I love norse and celtic tattoo designs.
