In a way, yes. Except that I do both the adding and taking away - starting with a blank canvas, I block in the main black areas with a hard round brush, and then erasing for details. It requires quite a lot of back-and-forth to get it right sometimes^^ but it's a very organic way of working, which I really enjoy.

I have a lot of old books with that sort of frontispiece piece, I love them - but this one is the best

The mesmer turned out AMAZING but I gotta say , nothing screams out 'MORAG style' more than Aero's ranger drawing
