Looking to buy scenery and/or dryad art
Before I get into any details, I want to make sure that the artist would be okay with this first. I want to use this as a background for my profile on Subeta, with proper credit (dA, personal website, Guru profile, whichever you prefer) highly visible (a 'credit' section at the top of the page). And if anyone objects to this, I completely understand, as I was already a bit reluctant to post a request. But I'm poor IRL and on Subeta, and don't really have anything to spend my money on in Guild Wars...
Anyway, to get to it... I'm looking for a scene of a forest that looks pretty much untouched by humans - no paths, man-made steps, footprints, etc - with a bit of a mystical feel.
Examples:
Brighter colors, sunbeams, moss on the trunks, maybe ferns = <3
As for the dryad~
Examples (some are nsfw):
Obligatory Guild Wars refs:
Tree trunk for bottom half, bark fades off to skin. Bit of moss/vines/flowers on the trunk and to cover key parts, long, spindly fingers like branches. If you don't mind a small bird on her hand, then a Speckled Tanager would be lovely, but not necessary.
I was looking to pay around 24e (168k at 7k/ecto), but since this is a bit of a large and strange request, I don't mind if you throw a price at me, or I could commission one or the other (in which case, the dryad is much preferred over the scenery). I can commission up to three people at this price.
As for style - looking for a painterly piece, but I'm definitely open to stylized, too. I'm not really looking for anime/chibi, though. It doesn't need to be hyper-detailed or refined (see Caithe's concept art), and the dryad can be in the center of a small to mid-sized glade with the trees in the distance if that's easier.

If I cut and paste your reference pieces together to create a new original piece do I still get the cash? I'll even accept 3e under what you're offering.
Joking ofc.

Sounds like a great practice in both patience and backgrounds for me! I'm quite keen on giving this a try, yet I have a dozen of things to finish. I'll keep this in mind, no promises though :3

Does it have to be painted, or would a photomanipulation be okay?

@Tommy's: There's no rush, if you decide you'd like to do it when you aren't so busy.
Our backyard is rather pretty right now, too, so if it could potentially be weeks or months, I can use some photos from our own woods in the meantime.
@Magik: Like I said, I don't mind commissioning someone to do one or or the other. I can also pay up to 3 different people at this price.
@Verene: Sorry, Verene - I like photomanipulations, but I much prefer painted for this.

I like this idea and I've been itching to create a foresty background for a while, but I'm not sure how busy i'm going to be since I have a couple other projects in mind. Anyhow, here is a link to my deviantart, although i admit, my activity there and on GW has hit a bit of a slump due to a busy summer/school year, but I'm trying to get things moving again. :)

I really like your art, particularly 'Leopard,' 'More of the Gypsy,' 'Paragon' and 'Pandora.' Were you interested in only the background, or were you willing to try the Dryad, too?
I'd be honored to commission you if/when you get the time.
And just as an aside, your animals are adorable~

Probably both... Glad you like those pictures though! Most of those are pretty old (the GW characters were done almost a year ago xD) so hopefully I've improved a bit.
I'll let you know when I get some projects out of the way and might be available to work on it though. =D
