So I sent the roughs to them and now I'm just waiting to hear back. Got all of the paper yesterday and tested it with my printer and how accurate it prints the colors so that's all good
Decided I wanted to draw something, but my laptop went a bit nuts and stopped recognizing my mouse, keyboard, and tablet. While restarting it, I grabbed my purse-sized sketchbook and pen (since it was right there and I didn't have a pencil handy) and sketched this in like five minutes. Luna is one of my favorite Harry Potter characters, so yeah <3 she's fun to draw.

Finished the invitations! Amusingly enough, the design they selected was the one I did last, basically as filler so I'd have an even dozen designs to select from. I'm pretty proud of how they turned out, though, and they love them, so yay
Unfortunately I didn't think to get some photographs of how they look printed before I delivered them yesterday, but ahh well. I can fix that in a week or two. Printed out and assembled a total of 107 invitations (needed 100, printed extras in case of paper cutter shenanigans, assembled the extras and included them just in case they needed them). I also did custom address labels, which was the most difficult thing to print, as my printer did NOT like the label paper.
No stalking!

Haha, thank you.
Me being the sylvari fangirl I am, I decided I had to try and paint one, based on their new design. It's, uh, going interestingly. They are surprisingly difficult.
The eyes are giving me a lot of trouble. First they were too small, then not angled enough, and now they're too big -and- too angled...feh. This was supposed to be a quick sketch and paint. So much for that

Looks good Verene! I think you are really improving in the painting lately!
Her hair looks very nice already, and those leaves near her neck too, I like the little white edge you gave those 2 touching her neck, maybe make that a bit more prominent in the others too.
About her eyes, I would lower the eyecorner (the outside ones, the ones near her nose are great!) a bit and make the leave between her eyebrow and her eye a bit less prominent (I think that dark line gives the eyes the tangled feeling). Not sure if this is clear, if it isn't just let me know
If I can make another suggestion, I would darken the side parts of her nose a bit, making it a bit less broad and a bit flatter.
Can't wait to see this finished! Maybe then I can forgive you using windows vista...

Haha, those leaves on her shoulders/neck aren't done, I just started working on them to avoid the frustration the eyes were causing me. I'm definitely going to go back in and add more highlights.
I think I'm going to round out the top of the eyes a bit, which will lower the outer corners and hopefully get everything angled properly, and then that should let me get those leaves around her eyes looking good. I think I need to darken up the shading on the face a lot in general, or at least make the highlights not so prominent, because right now it doesn't look like it matches her body that much. I think the face is a bit too wide right now, too, so I'm thinking of adding some more leaves to her hair to cover the sides of the face bit more.
And I use Vista because I bought my laptop about a month before Windows 7 started to come standard on everything, and I can't afford to upgrade And I will never shell out for a Mac, they are far too overpriced ^^

Seems like you've got a right view of having this look good. I certainly agree adding more contrast in the face, it always makes characters pop out more! And please don't change too much about those leaves touching her neck, I really like those 2
Ps. Who said I paid for Windows 7?

The two leaves touching her neck are basically done except for maybe adding some veins to make them look a bit leafier
And haha XD My brother tried that once. He wound up with a German OS and couldn't read anything

Yeah I kind of abandoned the sylvari painting...
Something new, though; just a real quick manip I did today.
