The screenies were taken from the makeover preview window, it allows full body shots as well as good neutral lighting.

The 1k Lux chest is my favorite Mesmer chestpiece, hands down. I'm surprised at how rarely I see people wearing it though!

Thanks a lot! Fell in love with the chestpiece when I was browsing Mesmer armor sets, and based the rest of the combo off of that. The 1k Luxon pants that are supposed to match it look terrible... >.>

lol, no worries! I love how my ele looks, and I don't mind reworking your mesmer at all now that I have a better idea of her personality. I was originally going for flirty, so I'll change that to a more brooding/mellow/regal (egretly??) style.

I'll admit, when I draw other people's Mesmers, flirty/seductive is the personality I choose by default. Woe is profession stereotypes!

Yes yes, egretly! For some extra back story, my Mesmer is supposed to be the same person as my Assassin (Araiia), only later in the GW1 timeline. At some point in time Araiia switches primary professions to focus on spellcasting. This is facilitated by the fact that both professions have Lyssa as their patron god(dess).

(My decision to create a Mesmer was also in large part due to the fact that I enjoyed running Assassin's Promise + Chaos Storm on my Assassin more than I did actually wielding daggers.)

lol! my Monk is the angriest one of all my characters, hands down. Now I feel unoriginal though \D

Hmm, yeah. Here's a redline of some changes I can think of, if you have a different idea and want to redo it though, go ahead! I still really love how you drew her face and neck, though.. so if you decide to throw this pose out the window, think I could buy the existing head/shoulders as a small profile commission?

Oh mai! Thanks for the seriously awesome feedback! I actually took the hand off the hip so I could add the scimitar to go with the prisms, but I'll go back to hand on hip if the other pose doesn't work

For the other pose, I was thinking of having your Mesmer looking into water and having the reflection actually be your assassin if that sounds interesting to you

I don't mind finishing the head shot for free or giving you the lineart if you want to color it yourself (or both). My canvas is 12 in by 8 in 300dpi, so the headshot should still be a good size all by it's own

Once I have enough Ministerial Commendations, I'm going to get a Purity Fan for my Mesmer. Having my character try to walk into melee range whenever I click an enemy is getting irritating!

You must let me draw another one of your characters as well, then! :d The one problem I can think of right away is that if my Mes is looking vertically into the water, then the image is going to turn out very taaaall. Perhaps suggest a kneeling pose, or some other reflective surface (mirror?) - just throwing out some ideas.

Oh whoa you draw big! My art is almost always WYSIWYG. I don't get to colour other artists' linearts very often, if you could upload just the line layer as a .PNG with transparency then I can have fun colouring it xP

- Mesmer is wearing the correct gloves now. There are little gold dots along the edges, see middle picture.
- Still struggling to choose a pair of shoes I like. Feel free to make up a design xD

- Assassin normally uses a Platinum Staff or Voltaic Spear.

- Both have amber coloured eyes.
- Hair should be a silvery ash blonde. (Assassin's hair colour.)
- Skin tone discrepancy is due to Assassins only having access to Canthan (Asian) skin tones.

I'm still unsure about what hair colour I will makeover my Mesmer into at this point. It's between white, ash, and blond. Go figure :|

If you want a sneak peek, it's very loosely based on this short story I wrote and posted a while back. I was really surprised by the response to it and then started brainstorming to make it novel-length

Don't worry about drawing another char for me, but thanks so much (I haven't even finished yours yet!)! I was actually going to make the Sin only a small portion and the Mes the main since the poses I've been thinking of would mean that one would be way less visible than the other (I had thought of the mirror thing, but that didn't seem very GWish so I scrapped it D: ). Right now, I was thinking of sitting on the edge of a reflecting pool and having your mes reach in to touch the water and seeing the Sin reflection, but I have to figure out how to make her not flash everyone while sitting in a skirt XD

I'll play around with poses tonight and post the ones I end up liking so you can pick out the one you like

I'll also send the head shot lineart in a PM tonight so you can play with it

I had never seen the focus before either, until I made my second account! Apparently my CD keys were Euro and it was one of the bonus items. A pleasant surprise. :}

In that case I'll draw just a head/shoulders! Or something. o-o I know what your Paragon looks like from the art you drew of her, watch out! lol

If you draw my Mes kneeling over a pool of water, you could make it so that only her upper body is being reflected by the water. Alternatively you could experiment with different angles (more of a view from above as opposed to side view) but the foreshortening would be challenging.

Oh! You've come up with some pretty nice ideas. I'd have to say that the second one is my favorite, hands down. You could find full length mirrors in a palace, yes - it's not too far of a stretch considering Mesmers are supposed to be elegant courtesans and all that. In addition the mirror reflection could be perceived in two ways: as just a reflection, or a part of Araiia that has "died" but still remains in her mind, as a ghost protector/companion of sorts. (I've been using my sin to run my Mesmer all over Tyria and through missions to speed things up, lol) Note the classic back-to-back fighting pose.

On that note.. I see the characters have their weapons drawn in that pic, is it posing or is an offscreen enemy implied?

I saved the lineart without problems, thanks a lot for uploading!
