... one i realy missed though is the piece by Stouda :?
Woah, forgot about it, but indeed! That was one of my favorites, really should have been in there! But I can't say I don't have a habit of disagreeing with Anets judging.. For as much as it counts for, I really liked your piece Stouda!
Gratz to all winners, great to see so many WorkShop winners among them ... one i realy missed though is the piece by Stouda :?

whoa thanks guys! Q.Q it really means alot to me, i actually thought i could be in honorable mentions this year (self-confidence is a bitch), but i guess i'd have to try even harder for that.

To be honest, I too am rather surprised that you're not in the honorable mentions either. But again, a lot of the contests are pretty much about whether judges like your pieces or not, and GW official contests do have that tendency. The judges not selecting your piece as a winner does not make your piece less awesome, and you should be proud of yourself about being able to draw so well.
Gratz to all the winners! So many wonderful entries. I think I spent a good half hour admiring all the artwork from the winners. Half of it was spent watching the grand prize winning entry on repeat though :P
I have to agree with tommy and arghore, stouda really should have been in the honourable mentions at least. Didnt realize he hadnt won until middle of today when it dawned on me. Some of the winning entries I don't agree with, but I think this year is one of the better years for the judging; there is less I disagree with this year than last year for sure. Perhaps because the prizes were more valuable they had to step the judging up a notch? Oh well. Theres still the workshop prizes!
Just use the motivation of knowing that you should have won into making an even better wintersday painting; then you'll surely win. And who needs a mini guard when you could get a reindeer tonic?
Alright, so in the event I win something in the workshop and we decide on a day for the party;
I may or may not be able to attend the party. My laptop is about to implode (the hard drive is failing or... something. Its rattling at volumes louder than I can speak :|) and could die any day now. Since its so unpredictable, I may have to use the internet off of my iPod; so I could still visit the forum but may not be able to be in-game depending on the situation. I'm also buying a desktop this week, so if I can set it up and get Guild Wars re-installed in time I may be able to attend. Everythings up in the air right now
But the good news is I'll have a desktop, and will be able to play non-guild wars games and be able to paint on photoshop canvas' larger than 1000x1000 without going into critical lag/freezing the program. So yay for that!
Hey guys. This is Verene (lost my password and the reset's not going through for some reason, so I'll fight with it later).
There's really not much I can say other than I am really, really sorry. I should have handed over the reins to someone else when I was getting overwhelmed by real life (between work and my mom being in the hospital, I've had zero time to myself), but I was stupid and stubborn and didn't. I'm really sorry. Please don't kill me.
That said, don't worry that I've run off with the prizes or anything (I'd never do that, and besides, I haven't even logged on the game in over a month now) I've got a few hours free today, so I plan on basically dedicating all of it to going through everything on here, creating a list of all of the entries, and contacting judges. Whatever I don't finish before I leave for work, I will get back to when I'm back home tonight.
And yeah, again, I'm really sorry.
And, also, congrats to those that did win in the official contest!
dont worry about it verene! Real life always trumps guild wars, especially with something sounding that serious.
besides, I don't think anyone wouldve thought you'd steal the prize pool. You're too nice to do that sort of thing. It sounds like Aero has taken over quite a bit and/or was looking for you, if you havent contacted her yet. She needed the judging sheets I believe and/or the names of the anonymous judges (?). You'll find it in the thread.

She just PMed me ^^
I actually did not have anyone who asked to judge anonymously. So that's not a problem!
Also, go me. I just noticed someone's been keeping up with the first post. Thank you, Aero and Sierraa and whoever else did that! I'll whip up a judging age, then, and send it out.
Also, while I'm here - party. When do you guys want to have it?
Sundays usually work best for me; while I nearly always work on Sunday it's also always a very short shift in the afternoon. Would November 6th work for people?
Also, where? I think my favorite location was Tombs of the Primeval Kings, where we did it last year...
