Hmm that is a bit of a shame

... on futher inspection i do loose quite some detail in various area's due to the saved result being of less quality than the actual 'in photoshop' picture ... that is a bit of a bummer... this largely entails things in the currently black areas... which are not that black at all, just realy realy dark green, i observed the last few days as we had the full moon to see what one would actually see during the night with an actual full moon... so tbh, it's not that bad that i loose things in these dark area's, but it does make the whole look rather empty in those places while i did put in some effort to actually fill these with things, but then rather dark... hmpf !

When is the actual contest here ending? Like i have no time doing any touchups due to Pink Day, but if im not mistaken the workshop deadline is the 22nd? ... if so then i might put in some effort to lift up these area's to make the pic as i actually intended it to be... to bad i send it in without checking, else i might have been able to do something about it, like later today after i slept... 7:40am, i need sleepzz now, ok tnx, bye !

@Everyone: I know I'm gonna have SUCH a hard time judging entries! So many awesome works in so many different categories and forms.
Congrats to everyone who participated in this thread, whether it be making awesome art, or giving advice and support.
It's so nice how a small community of artists, regulars and newcomers can come together and work in harmony and help each other finish their entries and teach/learn in the process.

Again, good job everyone! <3

OMG I LOVE the finalised entries, everything came together brilliantly and there's so much fantastic stuff around! I lol'ed so hard at the pumpkin heads, they're too cute!! And Obastable's model just makes me go =O love the little details! Great costumes as well, all of them - and of course all the other stuffs that are awesome but which I forgot to mention!

Just a reminder that the workshop contest deadline is not until oct 22nd so if you were thinking of entering there is still time (*looks at Black XI*)

There are a lot of entries so the judges may be a little overwhelmed and need more help (*looks at Tzu and Charlie*)

If I have created an entry for the official Guild Wars Halloween Contest (2011); am I allowed to enter this Workshop contest with the same artwork? If not, I might just post it here for fun only.

I submitted my work last night, and now I just realized that the black colored stuff looks too black. So I pretty much did not follow my own advise to Sura /fail. >_<

Mad King Costume Party (can't think of a creative title)

Description:
It's Halloween and it's time to wear those costumes. Here we feature the members of our guild Beautiful Oblivion[EON] having fun with the Mad King himself.

Mad King says come join us..if only the Eonites would sit still for the picture. Oh what's that in the background? Looming shadows of what's to come

Clockwise from left

Waffle - My ranger's pet bear. He likes to eat and, as you can see, the pumpkin is no exception.
Sylas The Lynx - He usually keeps to himself and sometimes a little grumpy but that's how we love him.
Murke - is a necromancer and one of our recent members in Eon (recent as in 2 or so years ago lol). She's got a childlike and playful personality as you can see with her trying to sneak on a kitty headband on Sylas, making sure he lives up to his name.
Mad King Thorn - 'nuff said.
Grainne - Our nice and sweet monk who rarely loses her composure but not this time!
Little Cub - Well she did rattle up Grainne pretty good. That scary lupine mask does not help! Now where did her pet Chomper run off to....
Chomper - wants to do trick or treating. I'd be damned if I chose trick, Look at those fangs!
Samael - Another recent member of Eon. He decides to steal Mina's headpiece for her costume. They tend to fight a lot. At least there's no bloodbath going on...yet.
Mina - The fiery mesmer wants her headpiece back to complete her get up. Samael says no and she wont take that for an answer.
Vale - Having fun with his drink (as usual) but can he handle the absinthe? Most probably. He's keeping an eye out for Mina and Samael, probably planning to play referee if things get out of hand...like he usually does.

Boo, I missed the deadline. For some reason I was convinced it was the 15th of October. I missed it by minutes

But oh well. The workshop is still open and my entry wasn't really that nice anyway ^^;

Yes, most of these entries are for the official contest. You have missed out on having constructive criticism from the great artists here to help you hone your work but you can still enter the workshop up until the deadline.
