I am so glad I changed the workshop judging to a voting thing! Since it's going to be hard..seeing yours, IH and Tommy's WIPs so far!
I just watched Dark Knight again the other day. Joker was awesome RIP Heath Ledger
I really love the Kitty sketch O_O
It's really great to see more artists from Nolani coming out. Can't wait to see more from you
and yes i am already stalking you in DA :P

I like the pencil drawings very much. And, of course, the Halloween digital piece made huge improvements over the length of the workshop. Keep going.

voting thing o:
please elaborate
The joker I'm basing is more inspired by the comic/Arkham Asylum version. While there is no denying that Ledger was a great joker; Mark Hamill just has the greatest voice for it.
What CANT mark hamill do.
Edit;
@darcy
why thank you ^^ I think the pencil drawings could come out a little better if I had a slight higher quality pencil. Right now I'm using the most beginner type because they came in a shading book I got like... 7 years ago. LOL The kitten drawing really reminded me that I needed to new pencils Dx

I haven't played that game. Both Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger were good as Jokers
And the voting thing:

When you say it like that, it does sound sexually threatening.

That spoiler is sexually threatening
I don't know how Mark Hamill can do that voice. He just doesn't look like the voice, but it just works.
I was playing a game called Darksiders, and there is a character named the Watcher who you meet early on and as soon as he said his first lines I was like GAHHH NO WAY MARK HAMILL!
Made that game like 8x better knowing that xD

Oh, and Mark Hammil will always be the definitive voice of the Joker. To me at least.

Thanks Aeronwen ^^
i think the stuff in the foreground could be a little cleaner, but my eraser does more smudging than erasing so I just didn't use it xD

This is the EXACT issue I am having with my traditional sketches. Do you use anything to put highlights?

I usually use a kneaded eraser for texturing and fine details, but as my kneaded eraser has been horribly contaminated (long story... its not usable anymore. LOL) I had to do the cat drawing planning for the highlights ahead.
Usually I just use 2H pencils for highlights and such, and knead away edges to make it clean or the perfect level of value.

Alrightttttt so I'm spending most of my day studying for my physics exam tomorrow (D:, but then im done my exams and dont have school for 5 days ) but last night I worked a little on the joker.
I still don't necessarily like the hair but after like 8 redos I got fed up with it and got something half decent Dx And then I addedthe bowtie and a little bit of the shirt got touched up. My next goal is the shirt and then the coat/paints. Then the background...

Dont change the hair if it was up to me! I think it looks really funny, a bit like grass with hairwax in it xD But seriously like his hair. As I assume its a caricature, you would make his cheekbone stand out a bit more near his eye, and a bit less near his mouth, think that would make the shape of the face a lot better. Can't wait to see more :3

Thanks tommy ^^
I see what you mean with the cheeks. I was like "Didn't I already do that... WAIT whered it go D:"
Clearly I didn't make it prominent enough, it took me a minute to see what i was trying to do. LOL

Ahh I'm so jealous of how you make the skin-creases! It's nice! I love the colour of his face. It looks like a sickly, insane person with white powder makeup on, just as I think he should have it ^^
I do think you could use a bit more anatomy work on the body, but it looks like you havenät really gotten far on it, so I can't wait to see what you'll do wit it ^^

yeah, I don't know if you saw the lineart (also on my dA) but it's going to be roughly around that. I do know of somechanges I need to make (namely the forward shoulder) and I want to do something with the back arm... it feels small but at the same time just right. D:

The sketch make more sense, but personally, I think you should pull up the shoulders a bit. He looks a bit stretched to me, and the back arm looks a bit thin around the elbow. Perhaps you should have a friend pose that arm for you?
I hope I'm not commenting too much, but I really want to see what you can do when you push yourself! So far you've made so many good pieces! ^^
(and you DA link isn't working since it's misspelled, but I bet you can fix it in a flash )

I agree that those are probably the two spots needing the most work. I'll just need to tweak it until it looks right

Edit:
Ive got a little un-related but art-related surprise I can post before the end of the night DD
^^
Edit2: To avoid double posts, I'm posting here again
Who's That Pokemon?!
Sort of an end-of-exams day celebration
