Hey Reigi, sorry I am not doing commissions at this time. I somehow managed to overwhelm myself with other stuff and I wanted to knock them off first before resuming commissions ^^

I /might/ re-open at some point (at least for b/w quality like the Raven drawing above), once I figure out how much money I need to get whatever achievements I can with GW gold. Plus I am trying to gauge how long I work on drawings. Trying to reduce the amount of time I spend on them without sacrificing the quality of course. ^^

That modern Raven drawing didn't take too long at all surprisingly although it needs a little polish especially that right hand. So yeah there's hope for me yet!

My latest. Just got asked to join an Art Jam in one of my groups in DeviantArt. Rule is to draw a headshot of a Marvel Villain. I picked Dark Phoenix XD

Still wanted to add a few changes but it's supposed to be some sort of a "speed paint" and done out of the blue. So I might just leave it as it is.

Also taking this opportunity to let you guys know of a mini anatomy workshop I am doing in DeviantArt. Uh no it's not me teaching people how to draw human anatomy lol (oh dear..that would be bad). Anyhow, everyone is welcome to join but you'll have to have a DA account to do it obviously. =P

It's a group activity where we all learn together by trying to draw/sketch a few reference poses. I post the submissions every week so we all see how we are doing. Points are awarded and I am planning to give away a free full body commission at the end for the best entries. Haven't decided on the end date but most probably early next year. I did this to motivate myself to practice anatomy outside of doing actual drawings. I need some serious motivation and I thought this is a fun way to do it while helping others learn as well.

Stunning job, Raven! I love the sparks, but if I wasn't told, I interpret them more as the long tails of chaotic flame. Fire is random and not uniform, like water, so I like how it sort of "roughs up" the fire and gives it that sense of chaos, much like a burning sun.

Xiaoguin - *hug* Thanks! Yeah googling "fire, ember, sparks" really helped me get a sense of what they are supposed to look like overall.

@Thistle - DA is pretty much like facebook but more on artworks ^^ *is on DA more than facebook*. Also the points is a deviant thing, yeah. They have merchandise that you can purchase using either points or real money.

) and I fav works I really like, or that inspire me. But further then that, I don't do anything. You are so active! Tell us your secret!

lol there's really no secret. I joined groups and submit artworks to groups. I also check their forums and comment on artworks. ^^

Plus some of my guildmates are also in DA so we kinda keep in touch there esp Murke who is my partner in crime in drawing lol.

@Gabby - *hug* Thanks! I am very flattered that you think so. Saw your works in DA, they look very professional =O

@Thistle - thanks too. Thing is, I feel like I need to feel a certain connection to the drawing to bring it to life. I mean, although I can draw it straight from a reference..it's not as much fun for me that way. I like bringing my own twist to it. I always try to think of a character I can associate with the pose whenever I get the chance.

Here's a similar one I did earlier before the Psylocke one and more rushed lol. It was a challenging perspective...didn't even think I'd pull it off at first but I guess it's pretty decent for a first try.
