Thanks Frost and Shy <3
Decided to do Sera's commission next. Well, here's a pose sketch for approval...I have a feeling that I may be getting a little too ambitious with the background idea. If I could not pull it off, I might use a stock picture/GW Screenshot X_X But I'll try painting it lol. I just really got this image in my head when I think of Sera's commission description.
As opposed to the Sylvanas pic, this will be during daylight. And she's supposed to be sitting on a rock..which looks invisible atm =p

Anatomy looks nice, not an easy possition you give yourself. About the animal... not totaly sure what it is, but I bet a wolf. Though atm if looks a bit more like a cow without udders I would look for a bit of more reference. If it is a wolf, I would lower his head a bit and maybe make his head a bit flatter.

Haha yeah. I noticed that the wolf seems off too but this preview is just mainly for the overall concept to be approved. I fix a lot of stuff once I get into details.

Sera's WIP. Going for a cleaner lineart this time. Should've had more progress but the last two days I have been in a coloring slump (for some reason I could only do linearts and just never liked my coloring lol). Hopefully the slump is over now lol. Still haven't worked on the details. Just basic colors and shadings.
Here's another I am working on right now really slowly. More of a personal art thingy related to a certain storyline I am collaborating with guildies. I think this drawing is the culprit for my coloring slump cos I was trying to color it comicbook style but couldnt get anything to work out to my liking...:

Now thats more like a wolf ^^ Starting to look real good. Her armor and boots looks great, just her face needs a bit more attention. Clouds look really nice, did you make them yourself or did you use preset brushes? Love the thin lineart you have now, would not make it much thicker. You get better every piece imo, keep going!

Thanks Tommy! Yeah I did the clouds with a custom brush and I added tonal values to it. Like the sky color set to multiply at the bottom and a yellowish white in color dodge mode at the top (yellowish white because of the assumed sunlight somewhere..but then it looks white anyway lol).
I havent focused on the face yet (which is different from my usual since I always focus on the face first). What I am trying to do this time is work from the background first.
I am actually feeling a bit nostalgic working on Sera's drawing because I used to draw sceneries and landscapes when I was a kid. I am going to update how I color blocked her chestpiece. I got it all wrong I just realized it now lol.

The line outlines look good. Liking the composition in the second piece - definitely a step forward from your previous drawings.

Sera's commission is done ^_^. Thanks Sera!
I tried a "painted look" to convey a more serene and relaxing atmosphere.
Might work on Yun's next and practice on dynamic poses. I may need to do an artwork before hers though. Will keep you guys posted.

Yup! I made a bit of progress in that one the past few days. Trying yet another style which I think suits me better. If you noticed in my pencil drawings, I shade a lot and this style is more on perfecting the shadings first

Thanks Frost! Will do! I got three more left.
I feel bad cos I did another entry cos I got inspired to draw my mesmer again (she's supposed to be a vamp that could open portals to another world so she fits the theme of Vampires in Wonderland -the contest),. Background inside the portal is a stock image used with permission.
This was done relatively quick and I just let my imagination fly.
I should be doing my commissions.
I really promise to work on commissions now, I think I have enough drawing vamps lol. (I know I don't draw the fangs but it kinda ruins the pic sometimes lol). I actually tried to start drawing Yun's but I think I want another pose for her now. ^^ I also feel like starting omens and Sante's. Maybe I'll try to do initial sketches of them and see what I like best.

Sante's commission is done. One thing I really love about doing commissions is it makes me draw different stuff. I would never have thought of drawing a psychotic facial expression before now! Thanks Sante!
