Gah, I came late to the party then, lol. For getting the angles to match up properly in that case, just abuse plum lines for proper comparisons. Definitely the easiest way to make sure things are lined up correctly.

And the pose for Minami looks great, definitely has that kind of "runway" feel to it.

oh wow. minami's is looking amazing!! i love the pose and details...and yeah, i'm speechless. there's something just so special about your art. it has a lot of life to it. it's so anatomically accurate and rich, i've never seen a style quite like yours in a way...like how you paint. it's beautiful.

i really need to commission you someday haha

Oh, and definitely keep those core shadows on her that you have right now. The contrast and the current color selection is perfect.

P.S. Is it me or are you starting to work on smaller canvases now?

Ok I was gonna give you some comments based on the first one, and wanted to start with pointing out that her foot was a bit angled tooo much. But I see you have corrected that already

One thing that makes me think is the shadow. Her face has a very strong shadow, really looks great. But the light is clearly coming from her right. Yet on her left arm, it looks like the light is coming from the other side.
To indicate what I mean, I took the liberty again to make some changes.

I really like the skintones you picked, like charly said, be sure to keep those!

@Charlie kk, will keep them. And no, im doing this on a 6000x4000 300 dpi. I use "fit on screen" option and then print screen it (its faster, and sometimes i forget i resized original image XD )

i say this all the time when i see your art, but this one may be my favourite lol, it just has so much personality and depth to it. i can just imagine her clothes blowing in the wind. the lighting really draws me in and looks very accurate. cant wait to see the finished one : D

I loooooooove the pose so much and the composition looks amazing. Really fits Minami's necro. As for the footwear, I love the first and last as IH said.

I agree -- there's something disproportionate about the legs. It may just be an optical illusion because of the cut of the dress, but it seems like the legs are much too short in contrast to the torso and the arms...or the thighs are too long and the knee-down is too short. I can't really explain it, but I see it, too.

@Minami great ^^ lets hope that you will still love what i have done with your necro lol. I tried to put chaos gloves on, but then i got this huge problem, they pull all attention away from necro. Its like the first thing you notice on the picture are those gloves, everything else falls into shadows when they are on, probably because they are white and everything else is dark >_< So, heres my solution, if you don't like it, i can put chaos on, or i can paint some different design

custom brushes used for feathers and that diamond in the middle, everything else is painted. Still needs a lot of work, if i find the time, i'll finish it tomorrow

Ponies for the win!

I like the feathers, but feathers are pretty much always awesome <3

One thing I've noticed, though, is that her left cheek (left from looking at it) looks almost a bit swollen - it's fatter than the other one, and looks slightly odd.

The makeup/scar pattern looks great, and I'm totally loving the stockings and garters = way sexy and classy <3

I love this piece, I think it's one of your best works. The progress between each piece is very inspiring. I'm still learning how to properly use my tablet/photoshop and all the WIP's are really helping me sort my (simple) first pictures out

One thing I will mention though (just a little thing ^^), I am aware that the Vabbian has some gold like jewellery on it but to me gold is a very warm looking metal and IMO kinda distracts from 'coolness' of the overall piece. I thought maybe matching the colour with the silver of her earings, but that might make the jewellery less noticeable against her skin tone. The only other thing I can suggest is maybe making it lace like, to match her suspenders. If that makes sence. If the gold pieces are wanted feature from the original request then nvm

@Verene, If we're looking at the same cheek I think it's just the shading, but I can see why you think it looks swollen.

@Verene: I chose the garter + stockings, because I thought they're way too sexy and unfortunately you don't see many girls wearing that combo nowadays

@Skiasca: In the game, the jewels are supposed to be gold, but I asked Magik to make them look more like canary diamonds because Minami would choose that :P Sparkly-shiny win! ^_^

They only remain much in ''private occasions''. But you could always be the one starting to bring it back.
