Its looking great
water is a great idea, but steps just ending at water have their own problems, that makes it kind of Venetian I guess, a lot of water around does strange things to the air.

It's looking really good O.O
Are the sort of dark waves of shadows around the piece mimicing sort of how light reflects off pool water (you know... where its like waves of light as the water moves..? does that make sense ._.?)
If the are, I don't know how much of the building would actually have light reflected onto it. If you think ofthe pool setting, it really only affects adjacent walls and the roof. These buildings look much to large and far away to have that much light reflect.
HOWEVER if thats not the effect you're trying to go for you can just ignore all that. LOL
It really is looking good so far though ^^

yes, i know, but like i already said, those are just first colors, so i can get color value, and then i can repaint everything + add texture. What im trying to say is, if you start painting with b/w sketch, you need to set colors in on a different layer (using layer modes like: overlay (for highlights) and multiply (for shadows) ) and when you set those colors in, make another layer and then start with coloring and texturing. Because, if you just leave colors on multiply/overlay and not repaint everything, painting will look incomplete, too flat, even worse if you use layer mode "color" or "colorize" (depending on the program that you use) your painting will have visible gray areas, also i think you can't add shadows when in "color mode" but im not sure...
so, when i finish everything, this color now on the painting will not be visible.
but, thanks for pointing that out :3

The bride came out good - the doves are a nice touch as well.
As for the landscape, it's coming along nicely so far. Are you using Mughal buildings for reference, or just the designs from NF?

Wow, I'm in love *.* I thought you would go for the sunny Vabbi landscape, so seeing this was a bit of a surprise, but really a pleasant one. So dreamy and fairy, unreal beauty. The only strange thing I can think of is the palm on the stairs
I wonder if it would be too much to ask if you can post 1680x1050 version so it can go on my wallpaper. I want it there so badly *.*
(I feel an urge to vq Vehtendi Valley <.< )

@Phoebe thanks :3 and yeah, about the palm, there where another one on the other side of the stairs, but then i changed my mind and added a woman waiting for the guy in gondola to arrive. Somehow, it turned out like she is heading to the palace and the gondola is just transport >_<
anyway, heres the wallpaper version:
@IH yeah, well, i tend to change my mind a lot XD
and thanks, im glad you like it
@Verene thanks :3 I love Vabbi too!!!
@Thistle thank you i won't ask, but i've been imagining the same scene while painting this

Vabbian Nights is simply breathtaking! I love how much texture and detail you have in your drawings, it's always a pleasure to see it. The stars and the water look so lovely.
Great job!

Vabbian Nights is so lovely,
I think you captured the haziness caused by the humidity.
I like the gondola, and the flowers on the wall
For the first time I have changed my background but now I resent having icons there...
