@Kiya:
Yes, it will come back, though I have to see how easily noticeable it will be with the current background. Sadly, I will get back to working on it on the 27th, or maybe just the 28th...
@Morag:
I really really like your concept (I'm right that it's supposed to be like a motif for a stain-glass window, right?)!
Will it stay as a "design" the way it is now or do you intend to add the surrounding walls and some light shining through? I would like both versions though, so no pressure! haha
@Rahtschini:
I think your piece is very cute so far, but do you think a baby asura really needs to wear make-up like she does? In fact, make-up on adult asuras already creeps me out, and on a baby that creepy-ness is multiplied by 10 or so lol
Thanks, DBAA That means a lot to me And thanks, Olrun and Dalili, too

@Rahtschini I think that looks really neat, especially how the Asura got a mini G.O.L.E.M. Maybe you could also show the remnants of the present she opened or something?
@Olrun and Koreena:
Thank you for your feedback^^ Thats very nice to read I am on the right way
remnants of the presents will come, that will be around her a little chaos xD
Care to share a little backstory on it? I feel like I'm missing out on something. What exactly is the cave/ is happening here? It looks wonderful, just want to be able to appreciate it more

Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad you like it.
There is a small description at the bottom of each photo that I took, but you have to click on the image to see it.
The cave's frame is made out of cardboard and polystyrene. Then it was covered in multiple layers of paper mache. After that I applied 3 coats of emulsion and then I painted it with a variety of different paints. Then I made small sections of icicles with clear silicon, and attached them. A sprinkle of glitter topped them off.
My inspiration for the cave is the magmus shield. My plan was to have a scarey cave with 2 flaming braziers at the entrance. I tried single candles which didn't produce a wide enough flame, so I re-made the braziers with 4 wicks, poured in a red coloured wax and fixed metal rods around the outside. When all 4 four are lit they combine to give them the right look I wanted.
If you have any more questions I'd be happy to elaborate.
I'm not going to make it for the deadline I'm afraid.. So count me out.
I'm most likely still going to do a movie soon, just a different storyline and without me having to rush.
@Rahtschini
Lovely idea and very cute baby asura! Personally i don't think it's too much highlighting. IMO it matches the very strong lighting on the present behind her. The dark outline on the body on the lightside is distracting, but i assume you will paint over that, since the hair doesn't have that dark edge.

That's awesome! Very cool cave and the freezie looks especially amazing! I hope you are from Europe, you would do great in the Dioarama contest
To my own wintersday entry: I posted my idea long ago and simply had no time to paint anything lately . Now in the chrismas holiday i finally have some time . So i started yesterday evening after packing my presents. I wanted to work on my "Winter Sylvari Awaking" idea and had a nice scene in the grove in mind with a pod opening to reveal a newly awakened sylvari. Well the sketch was a complete failure. I abandonded it, cropped it in rage and painted over most of it . For the sake of showing my work in progress here is the abandoned and painted-over sketch. I had planned the sylvari to be kinda "evil" and tainted by nightmares in her dream, that's the reason for the weird hand position. I wanted her to crush some insect or flower.
Realising that i won't be able to finish a larger piece with background and lot of details in time anyway (and being kinda demotivated) i made a new simple sketch: It's a simple composition and i will go for a very graphical style (kinda like the painting over on the abandonded sketch) to save time. I want it to look like the white/golden pod is dissolving around her. It's not really what i planned and is probably neither catching the wintersday idea nor the Sylvari awakening idea very well, but i will try to finish it anyway. So tell me what you think (other than the anatomy being kinda awful at the moment)!
Oh and i just remembered that weeks ago i actually did paint a little bit for wintersday: These are some quick and dirty character tests for my second idea: Kid Gwen and her friends having fun and building a snowman (or freezie) together. I hope they are all recognizable...
