I would be careful with the painting - acrylics and the like don't always stick to metal very well, but if you want to spend a bit you CAN buy paint specifically for metal at most big box hardware stores.
I like the idea of an ornament myself ... or a wire coil and make it a tree topper wif a bit o' snow (fake works, too)

Then you can test out what schemes do and don't work, and then possibly showing us which you think turn out the best for us to help break a tie ^^
That way you don't tamper with anything before its too late to go back on an idea.

These are my options for colors. I was also wondering if I should or should not make a mini Santa hat for it. Also, any other color scheme suggestions are welcome. Now that I look at the ones with green, do you think a darker green would be better?

The only doubt I have about making it an ornament... is that it is approximately 6"x6" and is made out of steel, so it does have some weight to it. I feel like it would bend the branch it was on and fall off, no matter how sturdy the branch. That's why I'm leaning to a tree topper. Maybe I'll even upload a photo of it on my tree when I'm done. To make it a tree topper, should I weld some loops of wire to the back to place it on the top, or should I attach it to the base of the helmet somehow?
As to the paint, I check on YouTube and some people said that acrylic paint would work, but I will look into the metal paints. Maybe it would just look better, even if the acrylic paints would work.

I think either of the bottom two color designs would be awesome, then maybe go in with a brush and do a design with the green on the front facial areas of the helmet. Just an idea

Like some wreaths or mistletoe or something? That sounds neat. I guess I'll go with the bottom-left one with dark green details on the front white area unless someone suggests something better within the next day or so.

Yep, Necro and Rit. Gui's always difficult - trying to balance out her preferred girliness and the more necro-ey leather. And I do think I shall add more jangly bits to Qing's getup. Maybe jingle bells, or would that be too over the top?
Current progress: Comp sketch.
I think I'll move Gui a little closer to the chair and have her bend over more. I took a reference photo after drawing this with the corrected poses. Mostly with the sketch I am concerned with whether the image is sliding off to the right. Should I add something behind Gui to balance it, or is it fine as is? I could also conceivably crop it and shrink the picture on the wall (which is to be a sort of brush painting of Dwayna; it's Qing's little household shrine - though actually, is it necessary? I feel like bringing in Qing's devotion to Dwayna might complicate the narrative too much).

@Djembe
Gingerbread Shields and Focuses! Genius! Now you just have to sharpen some candy canes and have that whole weapon set! XD
The tonics are really cool and it's neat how you figured out how to make them the right color and actually taste good. Good work!
@Qing
Maybe you could turn the chair so that she is angled slightly towards the fire? Then she could do some neat lighting effects on her face from the fire. I also think that without her feet spreading to the outside of the picture, I don't think it would make it off-balance to move Gui closer to the chair. I don't think she should bend over more, though. I feel like that would just look awkward.

Do you think it should be a continuous design like this, but vertical and like a wreath:
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
or a few separate wreaths?

So I've pretty much decided on turning it into a tree topper. These are the two ways I can think of attaching it to the top of the tree. At the moment, I am leaning towards the one where I attach it to the back of the logo. If someone can come up with a good way to use the other method, or another method entirely, maybe I can use that one. I plan on welding the rings to the back of the logo.

I'm constantly getting held up with other stuffs when I want to paint, with silly things like christmas presents and going out with the family and STUFF XD time to get my priorities right. This seems (feels) like the biggest wintersday contest we've had so far, the amount of amazing entries is MAD!! (in a good way =] )

Grenth is dropping the snowball on a young dwayna D:
I thought it would be somewhat easy to tell.... :<
The title of it is "it starts", as in what started the yearly battle between Grenth and Dwayna.

i think it'd work fine welded from the back ... it would definitely provide more support for the weight of the metal.
In regards to your colors: I'm not sure if you really SHOULD colorize it so much. The logo itself IS metallic after all. I think a nice Santa hat, or perhaps some snow, would emphasize the Wintersdsay theme well enough considering it IS going on top of a tree already. The colorized versions you posted make me think of Transformers, but you should really get more opinions on that
