"I did not became an necromancer by choice, I was born one.."

My mother was an Necromancer High Priest of a small cult, which name I cannot say. My father on the other hand was a Priest.. He was an Healer.. I realise that is an odd combination and everyone condemned my father for falling in love with my mother.

When I was little I always spent my times in the Graveyard, Death fascinated me. I remember the first time I raised my first minion, my cat had died and I did not want to lose it..

I knew my mother was able to exploit corpses and make them work for her. This of course my Dad didn’t like. “Let the dead be dead” . So I looked in one of her books and quickly found the spell that would make a minion. I went back to the place where I had buried him and started chanting the spell. I had no idea what I was doing but at that moment it felt all natural. And I succeeded! My first minion, my first Necromancy act. The only downside was that the following day my father had it killed. But I knew what I was destined to do. What I was destined to become...

I was to become a great Necromancer, one that would control an army of minions...

That's what Jadzia Emerald loves to say-it's her favourite quote. She has no memory of her childhood and it often leaves her in deep thought and wonder. She got given the name Angel Of Slyness due to her well...sly...nature. And during her time as a slayer of evil, she's slain mighty foes like Shiro The Betrayer, The Great Destroyer and Kanaxai.

Angel's latest problem has took her to the edge though, after coming face-to-face with her very own dark clone, Jadzia found her body self-generating Dragon-Plasma, a deadly kind of blood cell that corrupts it's ''host'', and after slowly becoming corrupted, Jadzia started training her skills and preparing herself-but will she actually win this battle against her own body?

Character: Reyla Terest
Background: Reyla is the staff sergeant who will beat you to within an inch of your life. On the other hand, when it comes down to business, she will take the bullet for those under her wing. Character is in her mid-late thirties to mid forties. Serious, stoic. Temperament borne from years of hard physical training and harsh environments.

EDIT: I'd like to avoid some of GW's glaring faults when it comes to female models (ie INSANELY long neck, among other things)

Just so you know Gui, you should set ectos to be worth 4.3k per ecto. 5k is more expensive than what you can buy at the trader sometimes

Whee! Finished Chicken of the Seas' commish!

I know the white space looks stupid, but I'm really not big on using a fill color for the sake of a fill color.

Anyway, I learned a lot from this... namely that the key to anything is using layers. Need better depth in the hair? Add a second hair layer. Want to add a furry trim? Make a fur layer. The layer-and-collapse method is really working out for me.

Sorry it's hugemongous... I like to work big. I can shrink it if you want, though.

Another great thing about layers is that if you're like me and mess up a lot, you can just delete a whole certain part. =P

Finished the first of Hailfall's commishes. Daang, trying to shade that was a pain in the butt. The paint refused to be red! I had to do a layer of pink and a layer of orange to get it right, and then I had to erase a ton when I realized I had lost the whiteness of the skin. But I think it turned out all right in the end. I love the crazy laugh. Oh, and I have no idea why she is apparently topless, other than I am lazy to draw the Kurz top and it seemed to work out all right. Sorry she's kind of pinkish.

Hiya. I must say I am enjoying the portraits you've done so far. I can't wait to see what you do with the fullbody requests. I have decided to stalk you on deviantart (as oceaniis) so I can see what else you draw.

Anyway, on to my request...

Character name: Marisa Windheart (That's the character name and my ign.)

Type/Style: Semi-realistic full-color bust

Bio: I've never written a bio for my character seeing as how I never got into role-playing in Guild Wars. There's not much I can say about her. I mainly play the mesmer class because I'm drawn to their beauty and stylish attire. I love playing as a mesmer because it makes me actually have to apply thought while playing. (Other classes require some thought, but sometimes I like to think that mesmers require a bit more. Skill preparation/usuage.)

I'd like to see a portrait of her subtly smiling. Please do not draw the earrings. I'd definitely would like the top piece of the obsidian
armor to show in the picture. If thats too much of a pain to draw (I hate drawing that collar piece myself.) don't worry

Finished YunSooJin's commish! It took me like 5 tries to get her head the right size... eventually I just narrowed out the body. It was tough getting the neck to a normal length, too, because I usually draw people with insanely long necks (I decided long ago that Xu and Hineli, my oldest OCs, just had Audrey Hepburn necks run in the family). And the embossed areas on the shield came out kind of funny... her hand is resting on it improperly, I'm afraid. Yes, her sword is apparently stuck in her belt without a scabbard. And the details on her boots are wonky because I didn't outline them... if I'm feeling up to it tomorrow I'll go back and fix that (and try to do something with the shield...).

Anyway, I think it turned out all right, though I did lean a bit heavily on Makani's pictures of her war, Ulla, at least to get started, because it seemed like the character idea was somewhat similar. Reyla seemed to me like the kind of person who never 100% loosens up, yes? I figure this is maybe her one moment of peace... surveying the battlefield after a fight, or maybe just watching some new recruits?

Oh, and I uploaded a better version of Hailfall's commish, because I was viewing the picture on a different monitor and noticed a huge swath of my pink overlay that hadn't been erased. So that's fixed now. If you guys catch anything like that in one of my pieces, just let me know and I'll deal with it.

BTW, in case you are wondering what a full-body semi-realistic looks like, I should warn you that it isn't as realistic as the headshot. It'll be more like a cartoonish one with much less exaggeration of features and much more detailed shading.

Crucist, I'm assuming you want a semi-realistic picture? Let me know if I'm wrong.
