squeee~!!
thankyou so much Tommy~!!
that was fast - I love sketchy sketches :}
the motion in Alacrity's pose is terrific~!
impressive anatomy details even in such a quick piece, yay
esp the athletic shape of her arms + legs, that's something even top artists forget/omit
and such a sweet casual take on Mina :}

Lol I had no idea where to go with Kimi's armor or what so ever, so I went for a strange Magikninjafrommetalgearsolidsamurai hybrid.
That was it for the quick scetches, probably will do some faces/expressions of Ala later today/this week. Enjoy your day!

Lol, kimi's suit contains just of black leather, with harder material on the lower arms and chest. :P
Thanks for drawing her though!

Spend the weekend on fixing my laptop (was using ubuntu and wanted to change to Tiny7, but that made my whole computer crash ). Reason was that I wanted to try out Corel Painter 11. And man I love it, so now I want it on my Mac! Sadly, can't find one. Anyone here found a working *cough* free version by any coincedence?
EDIT: Whiiee, got it. But on Mac it runs A LOT slower then Ps CS5, so that sucks Still lovely brushes though

Finally got to trying Corel Painter out a bit, quite a fun program, gonna use it more often, in combination with CS5 (still easier to use). Just wish they had Painters brushes in Photoshop
Anyway, here is a small wippie on coloring my previous scetch, trying out Painter. More will follow.

The way she's standing looks very uncomfortable, especially the head. The muscles looks pretty well done though.

Admitted the head was a bit out of its place The rest doesn't look that uncomfortable. And I think 90% of moving/action poses look uncomfortable I like it.
Finito! Finally something again, got so much to finish, really been in a start but not finish era lately.
Anyway here is Ala. Hope I captured her right a bit, at least the hair is closer then my previous one I think

am very flattered (again) Tommy, thank you~!
I love how you've enhanced the sense of motion, particularly her legs and the backdrop around them.
Yes, her head looks more balanced now, and her hair too (wouldn't quite be that much motion in a quick turn, as in your initial sketch, unless it was a really windy day)
your first foray with Corel is a success :}

Mina has filled the mesmer spot First little scetchy to give myself a bit of an idea of the scene.
Not sure yet what to have her wear, some obsi inspired armor, or something more towards the OC version. If I pick the last, how close would you want me to stick to it Mina? (asuming you'll read this ) Any preferences?
The other dude is going to be a Warden btw. Hypnotised and all.

awesome first try in Corel Painter! Are brushes the main draw to Painter?

For me, it is. At least till now. The brushes are really cool, haven't even had time to try them all out, leave alone the features the program might have. Still need to learn a lot about the program.
But for this one back to PS. Still in the I'm not finishing anything mood, started something new again I should never had scetched it down, now I must work on it..
Lesson of today: making monsters = fun.

whoaaa epic. You improve with every new pic.
Did you use grunge textures on the background or is that brushes only? (I've never used painter, no idea what its like.)
