Another speed doodle. Been studying some of Kekai's works :3
Too lazy to put detail in the trees. About 2-3 hours taken on this.

Oooh, this is awesome! I can totally see the Kekai influence in it, and the unfinished look just makes it look more gritty and textured in a good way.

Yikes, you must draw every day. I can't begin to imagine how your art will turn out in another year's time. D8 That speed paint is stunning!
Also yes, doing everything in a monochromatic scheme is always fun, I find it sooo much easier, but there's not much of a market for greyscale. (Feels bad, man) Awesome work~

I try to draw every day, though it very oftenly doesnt work with university But I haven't drawn that much this year, only the later part that I started doing alot of quick doodles. Should have started a lot earlier with that, since I learn a lot more from them then my more detailed finished pieces. But I hope my growing curve remains the way it is now, as I see some progress in every piece, mostly that anatomy looks acceptable faster then usual
And you can colour greyscale very very well. Though its easier if you have lineart, otherwise you need to colour the complete work again, anoying detail work But with different layer types (multiply, colour dodge, overlay, etc.) and layer adjustments you can come a long long way ^^ But you wont get very bright colours, but for more concept art style its awesome :3

Hmm...I beg to disagree. My Phoenix drawing started on grayscale but the colors turned out very vivid. Maybe you just need to increase the opacity/flow of your brushes? But then I have the habit of painting over stuff at the end and the original greyscale becomes very different from the final version. (you can see what I mean in the WIP thumbnail of this pic. The WIP looks very different)

Lol well thank you Yeah you can acchieve vivid colours just requires a bit more tweaking making drawing it in those colours from the start easier. That was a bit more what ment I don't think changing the opacity/flow of my brushes matters since I since shortly draw almost everything will 100% opacity and flow

For a second..I thought that meant World Wresting Federation (I think it's WWE now). I used to watch that a lot when I was a kid. I know I am a girl and that kinda sounds odd. I was really a huge fan at the time
