Mamath, Mesmer/Artist ♠ - Last Hurrah Art Commissions!
Hey all! I haven't posted on these forums in a long time but I've recently gotten back in GW (finishing things up before GW2, HoM, etc) and of course that means I've been doodling GW things. Figured I'd start posting here!
I'll keep this first post in the thread clear for commission info if I decide to take on in-game commissions later. I'm not sure yet - depends on the time available and whether I can arrive at a style/method that is more efficient and fun for me than just farming in-game. ;; I would really like to offer "cheap" sketch commissions (like 10k or an ecto or something) but we'll see. Maybe that is totally impractical.
PS. How do I use emotes without triggering the forum's smilies? I personally prefer text emotes (all cute and sideways, haha)

I recently got a Cintiq (12WX) and it is sooo niiiice to paint on oh man. So much faster and more natural feeling. I am an infinitely more patient renderer on the Cintiq (although still not very patient compared to some ;; ).
WIP of my mesmer Cray, who is my main and my faaavourite. I'm sure it shows! Mesmer is 110% my favourite class.
Some sketches from last week. I haven't drawn my mesmer in...literally years, I think, before these.
It was a struggle to get back into the groove tbh.
And a quick little sketch of my necro that I think I'd like to expand on and paint up. Maybe I will paint all my characters! Good practice.

Very characteristic style, I'll definitely be looking forward to more.

To prevent the forum from parsing smilies (or anything, for that matter), wrap them in tags. It's a bit verbose but they're pretty much never used so it's normally a non-issue.
See: :D
Also, awesome drawings. Perhaps this is true more generally, but the WIP has it's own funky style. I'm sure there's an artist I can liken it to but I've got no idea who it'd be.

these are very cool, I like seeing a comic (but non-anime) approach! your sketches remind me of Makani's work..

Thanks for the compliments, guys! :D And the forum tips!
Araiia: I'm sure I'll open for commissions sooner or later. ^^ Maybe in a few weeks when I've gotten some big chunks of important things out of the way.
Speaking of, I avoided some important stuff to get a little more painting time in tonight. :P
It's starting to get a little overworked, I feel, so the next time I sit down to work on it, I'll probably be finishing up. \o/ Just a little cleaning up and detailing and some background stuff and I can move onto some other method of procrastination, ahaha.

I found some time to finish my little mesmer painting. Not a big leap - just fixed up some proportions and tidied/detailed around the edges a little.
I barely have time to work on my HoM right now (except to afk on the rings in Shingjea when the opportunity arises - man, I'm never gonna finish that title!). ;_; I hope my workload lightens up soon cause I'd really like to paint my monk and necro!
