I don't hate males, either, but they're fairly bulky, especially the warriors. I just play female characters because I'm a female, but it would be nice if more of the males were "athletic" rather than "body builder".
Can't wait until Guild Wars 2 lets us do some more in-depth customization~ I might actually make a male.

And the "bulky" issue might be resolved in GW2 from what I understand. IIRC, there's going to be an option that can control the "thickness" of your char.

Which also means that you can make female characters that are not stick-thin!
I only play female characters because I have a "gotta get them all" mentality with armors and I like most of the female armor designs better though I did briefly have a male Mesmer for PvP (though he got deleted...in favor of a female Mesmer...so my boyfriend and I could play through together. He also plays a Mesmer. We like Mesmers a lot XD)

All the ladies will be staring at my sugar lumps.
@Verene and Drel: I also wouldn't mind a more athletic look for the Warrior class instead of having them all with a bodybuilder physique. So long as the customization doesn't get out of hand like that of Aion, I'm sure it'll be awesome.

I've never played Aion, so I don't know what the customization is like. :s Even if they give us several preset body sizes, I'll be happy...

Not sure what you mean by out of hand in Aion. I didnt play past beta (bored), but I rather liked the amount of customization
And Charlie, I think all the ladies are already staring at your sugar lumps lol

I saw some screenshots of what that game's customization menu was capable of. Some of them were walking abominations that were cursed by God.
@Frosty: I certainly hope my sugar lumps aren't visible with all that armor on.

I played the Aion beta and found that unless you were trying to make something really out there, 99% of characters wound up looking like clones anyway.

Apparently armor protects against everything but that. Nor does it protect my feelings.
@V: Ah, I guess abominations are somewhat better than a game full of clones. But I just hope that the GW customization won't allow "toothpick attached to a basketball" proportions.
Aaaaand, getting closer to being done. One of my hard drives almost ran out of space because of these things. I still need to add in a wee-bit of a background element, and also change the angle of the armor on the front-right thigh.
I'll be changing the armor around a bit after I shrink this down. I really like the polygonal chain-mail idea, so I wanted to use that to keep this from looking too much like samurai armor.

Damn frikkin epic Charlie. Is he gonna be holding something? I forget if you showed it already and just hid the layer for now.
You should also commission Koreena to make that costume for you. Then wear it at the presentation

In this, he won't be holding anything - just shaking his fist angrily at you. This saves me a significant amount of money. When I'm doing the smaller version, I'm going to extend his arm out to the side.

Wait, why would getting rid of the weapon save you money? Unless you really plan to cosplay it as well? XD
That's one really angry fistshake. *cowers*

Hah, no I don't plan to actually cosplay on account that I just made up this armor and don't have it tucked away in my closet. Though that would be awesome.
And getting rid of the weapon cuts down on the height and width of the picture. The print shop at my uni charges (I think) a dollar/inch - so the body alone is going to cost me about $65 or higher. I'm also going to include the mask as a separate print as well, but I'm not sure how much that'll cost.
This pic may be lacking a weapon, but I'm trying to make up for it with the design.

What weapon do you intend on using? Some katana like sword? Perhabs you could stick it onto your belt or something. Loving the armor so far. And omai $65 dollar isnt cheap. You print it for youself or you have to print it for school?

O, wow, that is expensive to print. D: I agree with Tommy - maybe you could add a smaller weapon to the belt. It's still very intimidating without the weapon, though.
