Some arena like the modernized Charr in gw2 would be cool!

EDIT: Front page updated. I couldn't think of an imaginative name for this warrior, but whatevs.
More experimenting with brushes. I'll make this guy a boss I suppose.

/claps ~ the Perfect Boss, Charlie~!
the first thing I thought of when I saw him, is Monty Python's Black Knight .. yes the only vague resemblance is the helmet (and his colour~!), but he's perfect for GW:
"None Shall Pass"
"Victory is Mine"
"It's Just a Flesh Wound"

"I step aside for no man"
Oh boi I love that movie so much.. "Ok let's call it a draw. Hé don't go you coward, I'll bite your legs off!"
Anyways, great outfit on that boss, charlie, though imo the horns could be bigger ^^ More badassness D:
I think your next point of aprovement should be armor. I can't put my finger on it, but it looks too perfect and plastic to me, specially at Minami's left boob and her belly (her right boob looks great!) Maybe try to loosen it up a bit more, or try more bend in the lightning I dunno. Don't know a sollution but it could bring your works to another level imo.

It might make another appearance in the Canthan workshop piece.
@Smilin: Hah, the thought did cross my mind to just name him "Black Knight". Skinner from Hot Fuzz came across possible names too.
@Toms: Hm, maybe reduce the amount of light reflections maybe? My brush work is definitely starting to loosen up now, so hopefully there will be a significant change in appearance when I do a complete piece in comparison to the first works.
@Tuna: I always wished that there was an armor set that was modeled after feudal knights. I know the plate-mail set is, but eh...
@Raven: This was mainly a focus on different brushes, but I still treated it like a speedy. It would have gone by faster had PS not crashed on me. Twice...

Thanks Kiya. And I thought you should know, I MIGHT redo your Asuran picture. There's something about it that I don't like, so it may undergo an overhaul in the future.

omg~!! your most awsum work yet~!
everything here is outstanding ~ you've put so much detail in that gorgeous b/g, there's no way this one's a speed~! yet it retains enough roughness to give a cinematic feel.
I can't say what I like best .. the first thing to grab attention of course is that Afflicted boss (- great job with his mutated anatomy~!) and love the armour + stance of the hero, so dramatic~!
then my eye settles on Kaineng in the mists .. then the mountains, and shanties, so ominous .. and is that a city wall peeking above the fog~?
everywhere I look there's some treat ~
This is just crammed with detail, it's a delight to the eyes~!

Ditto
All I could critique on is that his sword could be longer for more badassness.

This wasn't a timed drawing like the last pieces, but probably half of it was done as a speed paint - the warrior, mountains, clouds, skyline in the background and the slums. I was just sort of cruising through this piece at a steady and comfortable pace. This was about two nights of work - came out pretty nice without me having to dwell on it for over a week.

Yep. I've been wanting to do an Imperial City/Kaineng slums background for a while, so this seemed like a good opportunity. I wanted to make it seem as if you're standing overhead near the mouth of Kaineng which eventually leads into the Imperial Sanctum.
I guess this is just a bit of a teaser for what the workshop piece might look like.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot I had this in the same folder. Progress shots are always fun to look at.
