Yup yup... I remember that... Bebe came with a lightning ele setup xD
Charlie, I'm still working on your pic, I'll get done eventually >_> I'm not used to making pictures with male figures... The pose is pretty much done now, but wow I had some serious trouble adjusting stuff because I'm so used to female poses, almost everything I tried with your male warrior looked... uhh... very gay.... >_<
Awesome landscape pictures you're making here, can't wait to see more!! ^_^ Grothmar looks very serene and peaceful, I like it a lot.

And I had my rit, and weren't you set up as a MM, Minami? XD
I can't remember who else was in the group (there was only five of us), but it was hilarious.
Grothmar looks awesome.

Charlie is awesome.

I think I managed to switch to a curses Spiteful template just before we got "inexplicably" taken down into the UW xD
That was so much fun, even though we had one of the most epic fails I've ever seen

Haha, outstanding. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out though.
@Verene: Yeah, it was pretty funny. We were chugging a long fairly well up until that damn dryder group.
@Chicken: I didn't know you were in that group when we went? Shows how much I recognize people through their IGN names
@Bebe: Your ele actually looks pretty awesome. The name is pretty fitting for her looks.
And I wouldn't mind trying a Dhuum run again considering I still have yet to even see him...

I like the pink mountain range, very nice sense of distance and scale.

The grand irony of that new content in GW is that 90% of the people will never see it.

Thanks. I seem to have a Shiverpeak fetish with adding them in all these pictures.
And I know all about that 90% rule. Bit of a drag because I'm not a big fan of using gimmicky builds.

Yes, but why not add them when they look so nice? Plus, I love the look of the Shiverpeaks in game too.
Yea, I think it's incredibly stupid that there is no "break" between doing the quests... If only it was set up the way so that you go in, do a quest or two (or however many you feel like/can), then you could go out of the UW and not lose your progress... Having to go through all 7 (?) reapers' quests plus Dhuum in one go is not something a lot of people have time for. Especially that the threat of dying and losing everything you managed to do so far at the last reaper would suck major @ss.
I still wish this would be implemented, much like it is with the Realm of Torment/Mallyx quests...

I would have thought 8 players could do it without them in NM but I've never been in the position to try it. Aside from "Servants of Grenth" and "The Four Horsemen" Underworld is pretty standard fare, if time consuming.

I've always appreciated the irony in creating an area you can't leave, making it an area that can easily take three or more hours to complete with a balanced team, then having messages that pop up telling you take a break every hour.

I would totally be up for another Dhuum run at some point.
I was present for all attempts at it XD my favorite is still the one where we just gave up at the Chaos Planes and chatted away on Vent and me and Tuna and Bebe all took off our armor and stood around naked. That was fun.
Actually fighting him was also a lot of fun. You really don't need anything gimmicky for it, Charlie, so long as you've got patience and are careful. Though hopefully next time we'll start earlier in the day so we're still not at it at 2:30am XD

If another group does end up going, I hope I can find the time to tag along. Plus, I also need a good reason to get rid of these Powerstones that have been sitting in my inventory for ages. I thought I would have used them when doing the Vanquishing title, but the opportunity never came up.

I rarely (and I stress rarely) ever do landscapes, so this is a great opportunity for me to finally get some solid practice in.
And about the loading screen, I didn't know you could change that. If I would ever decide to change from the original art, it would definitely be with something more finished. I consider these more rough sketches than anything else.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I also thought up an idea for your assassin.

hm, well the loading screens as they are, have that wonderfully rough speedpainterly feel - tho I am sure they are anything but~!
.. and just noticed your Edit: am floored that you'd include Alacrity~!

I'm curious to know exactly how much time they spend on their pictures. Especially Kekai's and Daniel's works which are absolutely insane.
And the idea I have your assassin seems pretty cool in my head at the moment. It'll have a more urban feel to it than the others. Once I get started on it, I'll let you know.

Actually I'm fairly sure it didn't take them more than an hour or two on most of the loading screens (especially faction ones). A lot of it was premade textures and brushes and overlay effects to give the illusion of detail :P

Yeah, I noticed that some of the pieces like Lion's Arch or Shing Jea had some filters and stuff. Though I'm really impressed by the works here:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_Utopia
Some of them look like speed paints, while others don't. In any case, they're all pretty amazing.
EDIT: Also Blue, when do you think you'll be finishing your latest pic? I demand more wippie shots, sir.

D: IT'S CHINESE NEW YEARS, GIVE ME A BREAK. xD.
Oh if you want to see some cool speed paints, search Mathias Verhasselt on youtube. He has a few old but really good vids for speed painting.
Srsly tho, prolly going to be done by the end of this weekend or on Monday :|
