I don't even know what that means, Bebe
And I kept getting sidetracked this weekend since my brother wanted to do some vanquishing. Hoping I can get this done come this week.

Pffft, Bebe. And you're indeed right, that is Cantha. Trying to make it obvious that it's somewhere on Shing Jea with a bit of a picturesque look to it rather than the Kowloon City slums look in Kaineng.

Last wippie before I wrap it up this weekend. Also working on some concept art for the oni for fun which will be posted later.
Went and changed the color scheme so it's not as green, fixed Minami's eyes to closer resemble her reference shots, and added in a nice lighting layer to give a delicate feeling to contrast the scary ogre in the background.
Damn chaos gloves took me forever though. I literally jumped back and forth between three different ideas for the gloves and was pretty much stuck there for the past few days making no significant progress. I'm happy with the current detail in progress because regular chaos glove designs are boring as hell to look at nowadays. Sooooo, here's some swanky new chaos glyphs to replace those boring old gloves.

Looks great Charlie, but some of the later WiPs seem to have a bit too much light blooms. It makes the image not as readable as it was before :\
I think the green looked good btw :P Some hue is always better than no hue

Yeah, I'm still playing around with the lighting effects at the moment - good thing I save my progress every 20 seconds. I just really like that very light hazy effect that lighting filters add. I'm a big fan of them, what can I say :P

CnC tiime Bwuahaha Love those glyphic chaos gloves, wtb some ingame :O Though I think you could make them look even more realistic if you'd draw the glyphs a little bit more to the sides so it looks more like the glyphs go all around the arm.
Then there is something strange about the eyes I can't get past. I think her right pupil needs less lightning and should be a little bit more to the left (our left). Because you see a small bit of lighting on her right eye, it suggests that that is her pupil, which makes her eyes stand out of eachother just a bit too much. It's very possible it would look like this in real life aswell, just looks a bit odd :3
I only now noticed how awesome his horns are :O Looks so great. Also the drawing on the lamp looks very good, though I'm still convinced that I would like a mystic lamp without framework better.
But again Charlie, looks so god damn stunning!

I really need to stop working on these so late in the night. My brain can't seem to process things after a certain point in the evening.
You're right, her right (viewer's left) eye has been giving me a bit of problems. Since I made her a bit smaller than Reyla in relative size, detail on her pupil has been going back and forth a wee bit. I'll get on it tomorrow.
As for the chaos gloves, I'm not quite entirely done with the design. I'll be finishing up the design in the next and final shot since I'll be going back, catching all the smaller details and fine tuning the overall picture. In the next shot, there's guaranteed to be A PANTLOAD of more stuff added.
But glad you like it, and thanks for the critique!

Ooo wicked!
I love the metal shiny jewelry on her! And whoaw do I wish chaos gloves looked like that for real...
I have to agree with Blue, I think the greenish hue was very nice, it made it look more... otherworldly, if that makes sense
I'm working big time on your pic Charlie, but it's nothing compared to your drawing. :/

Don't you fret, the main reason I changed the hue a bit was that I felt I had lost your char's natural bluish-white color in the piece. Seemed the painting portrayed her as if she was entirely green from head to toe and made me feel that I was depicting an entirely different character. I'm still fiddling around with the brush overlays and getting used to Photoshop, but I will bring some of those deathly greenish tones back into the piece.

Here's an early doodle I made for a basic idea of what the oni would look like outside of this picture. Like the Flesh Golem, it would do blunt damage, except with a kanabō (steel club). My chicken scratch gives a few more details.
