oh nono, i didnt mean a challenge such as soloing UW, or mission challenges and such.
more like self made up challenges.
for example, after not playing gw1 for almost 2 years i went back to it.
After checking all of my chars for bday presents i went on my main char.
i was absolutely clueless about whats going on, where i stopped, what i did and what i didnt do....the only thing i was able to do and enjoy was to go vaettir farming....
But then i decided to make a new proph ele, and instead of going with the normal progression the game is leading me trough i decided to invent a set of rules and challenges i need to do in order to progress.
First rule, get Legendary defender of ascalon title (took me about 16 days? cant remember) before exiting the pre searing.
2nd rule: i may use only normal skill tomes, but i may only learn core/prophs skills
3rd rule: calling for help from a guild is fine, but if im to solo, i solo with henchmen (no heroes)
4th rule: transfer all money and items from bank to other chars and use only items/money acquired from this new character
These simple yet strong rules gave me quite a challenge going trough the proph story line and it kept things fresh and interesting.
When i finished proph and went to factions i acquired new faction skills and was able to make new builds as well use derv/sin proffs as my 2ndary proff.
by the time i finish Factions and NF (and maybe eotn, not sure if imma leave that for last) a new challenge would be to gather all heroes from NF/faction/proph and go back to proph->faction->NF and beat the missions on HM
i got plenty of other plans/rules/challenges ..but this post is already long enough...
